Rooney might sell a few more shirts than Sissoko, plus he's coming on a free albeit his wages will be steep..
Will he sell shirts though?

I think anyone with a half an ounce of football knowledge knows Rooney is well past his best. He doesn't even make the England squad anymore so even the casual national team fan wouldn't give a toss.

Do casual bandwagon United fans even get Rooney shirts?

He should move to China, make bank, then end up at Barca in a year from now playing with Paulinho.

Unfortunately the China project appears to have gone tits up. I believe this route will be closed off to many hoping to shift a load of old tosh for massively inflated prices.

With Marseille signing Gustavo this week I don't think they'll be interested anymore. I'm hoping that a club like Seville could consider him if they lose both Iborra and N'Zonzi but that's wishful thinking.

There will be someone, somewhere who are so desperate that they sanction a bid for Sissoko. This could go to the very last minute of 31st August though

I have never understood Spurs fans slagging off struggling players all over social media... How are we suppose to sell them when we poison the minds of fans of other clubs who might might be interested. Sissoko is obviously not as crap as some have said. He is just low in confindence and does not suit us that's it sell and move on. No need to call him the worse player ever as you are making it harder for us to sell.

The thing with this guy is that Poch can put the pressure on him. By telling Sissoko he does not fit into his plans and will not be getting regular football forces the guy to seek a move. He needs to be playing if he's to make it into France's World cup side and he is desperate to do that.

The downside to an expensive player who hasn't quite worked out is that due to him not playing a great deal, his price invariably drops below what we paid for him.... I think we'll be hard pressed to recoup the money we paid for him, provided the figure of 30mil is factually correct. I think we all know that "reported" prices and actual paid amounts are often 2 very different things.

Conversely, he may prove to turn things around this season and surprise all of us. I think it's fair to say he has everything (physically) required to be an excellent contributor for us.

The issue isn't getting him to move, he's already expressed that he's open to leaving, it's finding a buyer at an acceptable price.

That is the huge question...if you paid £30m and now want rid of him what is 'acceptable' ?....telling him he has no future at the club makes him force his agent to get off his butt and try to find him another home but it's how much we are prepared to compromise that will decide the issue.Someone will eventually make an offer and we cannot afford to take too firm a stance regarding haggling if he definitely is not in Poch's future plans.

I can see him going on loan with an option to buy. Let's hope West Ham or someone else equally stupid is desperate at the end of the window, if not, before.

With the rumours of Pulis and Chadli falling out, perhaps West Brom could be an option. Ol Tony does love a big unit.

Well here we are again
It's always such a pleasure
Remember when you tried
to shoot? You sliced

Oh how we laughed and laughed
Except I wasn't laughing
Under the circumstances
I've been shockingly nice

You want your freedom? Take it
That's what I'm counting on
I used to want you dead
But now I only want you gone

He was a lot like you
(Maybe not quite as heavy)
Now Paulinho is outta here too

One day they woke me up
So I'd be Spurs forever
It's such a shame the same
will never happen to you

You've got your
short sad life left
That's what I'm counting on
I'll let you get right to it
Now I only want you gone

Goodbye my only friend...
...oh, did you think I meant you?
That would be funny
if it weren't so sad

Well you have been replaced
We've got a training cone now
When Levy sells you maybe
I'll stop feeling so bad

Go make some new disaster
That's what I'm counting on
You're someone else's problem
Now I only want you gone
Now I only want you gone
Now I only want you gone

Quite a lot of effort for only two ratings, bro.
