He's better than Rasiak.... I have never seen someone look less like a footballer in all my life than Rasiak.

Agree, the away game against Leicester in the FA Cup when we lost 3-2 was possibly one of the worst performances I have ever seen. Dreadful player.

Was that the game where he got a standing ovation from our fans for controlling the ball at one point IIRC?

Anyone else concerned that we aren't going to be able to move him on?

I was hoping he might have gone by now.

To a degree, mainly that the teams that are interested in him are getting other targets. I saw that Marseilles just picked up Luis Gustavo and are supposedly giving him pretty sizeable wages.

While Gustavo and Sissoko don't fill the same role on the pitch for a squad they would presumably fill a similar role in terms of salary.

Would be nice, but Koeman has now had a full year to see how well he did to dodge the Sissoko bullet last August, so now doubt whether this has any legs

Koeman is trying to get Rooney to Everton so lets not kid ourselves he's completely on the ball.

Well here we are again
It's always such a pleasure
Remember when you tried
to shoot? You sliced

Oh how we laughed and laughed
Except I wasn't laughing
Under the circumstances
I've been shockingly nice

You want your freedom? Take it
That's what I'm counting on
I used to want you dead
But now I only want you gone

He was a lot like you
(Maybe not quite as heavy)
Now Paulinho is outta here too

One day they woke me up
So I'd be Spurs forever
It's such a shame the same
will never happen to you

You've got your
short sad life left
That's what I'm counting on
I'll let you get right to it
Now I only want you gone

Goodbye my only friend...
...oh, did you think I meant you?
That would be funny
if it weren't so sad

Well you have been replaced
We've got a training cone now
When Levy sells you maybe
I'll stop feeling so bad

Go make some new disaster
That's what I'm counting on
You're someone else's problem
Now I only want you gone
Now I only want you gone
Now I only want you gone

There is no way in fucking hell we have signed a paper stating that we owe 30M no matter what. It is im-poss-ible that Levy would have done that. I refuse to believe it.

Regardless. Sissoko has been the worst signing of all times. I'd rather have David Bentley back from retirement.

Even though we absolutely have and every single source we've ever seen has said as much?

It was a bad deal, dude - a really, really bad deal. You can't just not believe it because it's awful

Not at all. I've never been and never am under any illusions. I knew instantly how bad a deal it would be regardless of price tag, and I've been very adamant about that.

However, "every single source" as you say are simply repeating one another on a musical chairs sort of basis. There is no doubt that the deal was a bad. There is no doubt that it was a panic buy in the end. And there is no doubt that it has cost us a lot.

However, there is no way the club/Levy has agreed to pay a grand total of 30M no questions asked. Bonuses, add-ons and triggers in the deal might have taken the price to 30M, but safe to say Sissoko hasn't met any add-on requirement, has he?

In short, nobody knows the full details of this deal, but I'm sure it's complex and convoluted.

BBC reported at the time that it was an unusual deal for Spurs because the fee was straight-up £30m - £6m per season as we know but with the full amount to pay regardless. Their main transfer guy was on Radio 5 on deadline day saying it was remarkable that Levy had agreed such a deal as it was totally out of the ordinary but that all reports from sources at both clubs stated it to be as such.

That's why we need to hope we can recover the maximum amount possible from any sale - though his wages will make a huge saving too.

Oh fucking hell, not his price again!

Forget what he cost. It's about selling him now. For anything!

It was straight up 30, but the installment thing meant we weren't transferring cash to Newcastle's coffers immediately. In my opinion that's better than a bunch of add ons. We've already paid 6m, if we sell him for 20-25 then it'll look like a 6m player for a single season. That's not bad for a flop.
