Spurs to sign Eaglets star, Yahaya
on February 13, 2014 / in Sports 12:14 am / Comments

Musa Yahaya, hailed as the Nigerian Neymar, is inching closer to completing his move to English Premier League campaigners, Tottenham Hotspur.

Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that the Mutunchi Academy ace will arrive London, England on Saturday, February 15 to append his signature to a preliminary contract if he passes a routine medical.

The 16 – year – old will be accompanied on the trip by his father, one of his agents, Mohammed Babawo and Auwal Yusuf, the coach of the nursery team which has been nurturing him since childhood.

All members of the entourage have been issued visas to the United Kingdom.

Because Yahaya is still a minor, he can not sign a professional contract .However, there is a four – year deal waiting for him to sign when he clocks 18.

Tottenham Hotspur beat Arsenal and Ajax Amsterdam in the race for the signature of the highly rated starlet, who netted four times at the Fifa Under 17 World Cup.

WOW! Was just thinking to myself the other day "I wonder were this kid ended up?" thought he was going to Benfica. Delighted he's coming to us, huge talent IMO.

How true is this, and how good is he?
Insanely good for his age. I watched him in the U-17 World Cup which Nigeria won, and he was player of the tournament IMO. I actually think if he does sign (and looks like he is) he could be knocking on the first team door sooner rather than later.

Well at least we know he isn't older than he is saying he is, so he looks a good prospect!

And we have a decent african contingent to help him settle!

Looked good in U-17 tourney apparently, Arsenal and Ajax want him, sounds good. It's good that we are at least trying to bring talented youngsters.

Perhaps having Bentaleb doing so well has helped persuade him to join us if in fact he is joining ?

I heard he was the new Neymar, to go with our new Drogba. It just reminds me of old school Champ manager scouting reports....

Anyone know anything about this Musa Yahaya kid we are meant to be signing?
lol, are you actually getting that from that bullshit talksport article? The guy is 27 and playing in the MLS, dubbing him the "New Iniesta" does horrible diservice to the current one. At 27, he's a little late to be the new anything, wouldn't you say?

"His team-mates call him 'Iniesta' and the Spain and Barcelona playmaker is someone Yahaya wants to emulate one day." - Quote from article

Yeah, his team mates! So he's the Iniesta of their team! LOL, I'm not sure we'll be seeing Mr Yahaya at the Lane any time soon.
