I'm getting a bit sick of this line being spun out by pundits (recently regarding Bale). It's been said about other players too: Carrick, Berbatov, Modric, Keane. When R Sol left we were pretty crap but we have been growing for the last 8 years! If you put Modric, Carrick, Berbatov and VDV back in our squad, you have a squad that can challenge for the title! Bale isn't 28 he has a lot of years left, if we buy wisely in the next 3 seasons (to add to our already strong squad) and keep Bale we could challenge for the league! Why are football 'experts' so keen to see all the best players in only 5 or 6 teams? Rant over.

It wasn't supposed to be negative, I'm pointing out that we have a very strong squad now but football 'experts' still think we should sell our best players.

Stadium is the #1 priority. Players come and go, enjoy watching him play for us while it lasts.

who knows he might not want to go abroad and will look at the Milner's, Nasri's and Berbatov's of this world and think why should I move?

I'm relatively resigned to Bale leaving at some point. Most important thing to me is that he gets us back into the CL (and hopefully gives us some exciting European games!), we get big money for him, he doesn't go to a English side and he doesn't leave on a sour note like Modric.

It's just the way football works. You have to remember we will cherry pick players from clubs who probably think they could hold on to them also.

It's not just titles either, currently we can't afford to pay the very top wages. We need to establish ourselves in the CL for a few seasons and get all the revenue that comes from that.

the arrogant press are twats to be honest, trying to unsettle our players and team momentum.
Just look at motd highlighting the infamous Bale statistic of when he first joined.
Sewer rats.

Don't listen to pundits and get your knickers in a twist when they disagree with you. What they say doesn't affect our club one iota. Because experts don't live in a fans dream world.

Are you going to tell Gareth Bale he has got to wait 3 years before we challenge for anything if at all?

Would you like me to tell you what he'll say or can you guess!

The only thing i'm sick of hearing is the win stat we had at the beginning og his career with us. It's completely irrelevant. He was a boy and like one player makesa a team lose so consistently? It just coincided with the fact we weren't very good anyway 6 six years ago. We'd improved from mid-table obscurity at best.

Is it: "that's fine, I love Spurs and really want to stay and see us win titles eventually"? If it's not, then don't tell me please.

If we get Champions League, I think we've got Bale for another year.
If we then start winning things, he might stay longer.
This isn't as crazy as some might think. A bit of tinkering in the summer and a bloody striker and we've got nothing to fear in this league.

Otherwise it's simple, if you're Bale you want to win trophies.
Interestingly FFP might help us, cos few teams will be able to afford him.

FFP is it is actually enforced will only result in a lowering of transfer values, so it wouldn't stop teams being able to afford him it would just decrease the amount we could command for him

Agreed, it is lazy and overused.

If every player who showed promise 'left to win titles' there would be 40 players at Man Utd, 50 at Man City (they have 40 already!) and 40 more at Chelsea. The other teams would be shite.

When Fergie retires, the league suddenly becomes a lot fairer. The advantages Man Utd enjoy over other teams are fairly obvious, I refuse to believe that their defenders foul less than others when they are at home.

How about the pundits start peddling the line 'he has the chance to be part of a new dynasty as this team grows together'. Maybe that's too complex for them.

Chelsea and Man Utd will have to go through a transition soon as their old guys bow out and Man City a very disjointed club. Football always goes in cycles.

Why can't Spurs challenge? This season we've lacked a striker, turn those early season draws into wins and we're right up there.

Because, unfortunately, that doesn't sell papers. Millions of United fans buying the Sun want to see them linked with a move for Bale or whoever :D
