The fact that Carpoue played all 3 tour games could be interpreted as Poch wanted a long and careful look at him. But he came through as one of the best players on the tour and that might have convinced Poch that he has to be one of the first names on the team sheet as a DM.

If my reckoning is right, we'll not sell him, whereas Sandro and Dembele could be out.

Not saying I disagree with you about the "selling" of Sandro and/or Dembele....but remember that Sandro was injured and Dembele was exempted due to the WC.
Capoue needed match training and it was very logical to use him a lot to get him settled as well as having a closer look at him.

Or let potential buyers have a closer look at him. Even with him (or anybody bar Lamela) playing good during the tour, I won't put any bet that they will stay or go for sure. We simply have too many WC players that are not yet evaluated by Poch.

Sunderland want Tottenham's Nacer Chadli on season-long loan
Sunderland are on the trail of Tottenham winger Nacer Chadli, writes Steve Bates in the Sunday People.

Manager Gus Poyet has inquired about taking the Belgian international Chadli to the Black Cats.

Poyet would prefer a season-long loan rather than a permanent deal for the 25-year-old attacker, who joined Spurs in a £7million deal a year ago.

Chadli has not been a huge hit at White Hart Lane – and Spurs would prefer to sell him outright rather than agree a loan deal with Sunderland.

I can't see any value in loaning him, if they want to pay a fair price and he wants to go for regular football then fair enough

We only have 4 WFs and Chadli is the only one of the 4 who is a LWF rather than a RWF.

I'm not saying I want him first choice, but he's an important squad player.
