1. Burchill is an idiot.

2. The ref, Andrew Dallas is the son of Hugh Dallas who was the most controversial referee in Scotland at one point, also a fairly fucking rubbish one. His son, is actually being fast tracked, can you believe that ?

I feel I'm living in a different world at times.

Warburton on the match, tackles on Oduwa 'inappropriate' , taken off at HT for his own protection, will be assessed tomorrow, hopefully ok for Saturday

He has the class and ideals to be a fans favourite old Warburton at spurs one day. Of course I am a big poch fan just think he is a really promising manager.

Hehe, if I was his Mom, I would know - and thats not it, I was just pondering on if he could be recalled, if anyone knew what terms 'normally' are agreed.

Dominic Ball starts against St Mirren - think its on BT @12.30

Nathan Oduwa still crocked by those assaults masquerading as a tackles in the last match - hope he comes back quickly but haven't seen any update on his injuries, may just be bruising if he's very lucky

Some views on Ball today

Kiernan and Ball at the back - superb reading and strong in the tackle. Would love to keep Ball beyond this season. A real partnership forming there.

I would love to sign Ball, he's looked absolutely solid since coming in and is our best CB.

@GregRudder
@THFCacademy Motm performance from Dom Ball this afternoon. Was outstanding.

Also this thread about him really love him.

Don't know his contract situation, but while I've said before he is more than good enough to play EL for us, we know he won't get a chance here, so back him to move there permanently and get a decent fee. Would be a real good platform to have a good career. 2 seasons time he will most likely be playing European football and I reckon will get a PL move eventually.

Glad he is showing his class.

Hope we get Miller fit and send him there next year. If they can't make it with us would still like to see our top players fulfill their potential elsewhere

Extremely positive comments on Ball in that Rangers thread - its often difficult to for a CB to standout but clearly he did in that 1-0 win for Rangers, being named Motm by many, and interestingly thought by all that he was the best CB they had at the club - no mean accolade for a loanee.

I had hoped that Dominic Ball might make it at Spurs as his performances for the u21''s last season alongside Milos Veljkovic were very good, even though there's a lot of competition (especially with Carter-Vickers just a couple of years younger but hot on his heels), but that might be a long shot - unless Ball has an exceptional pre-season next season. I agree that he looks like he could handle the PL, just a question of how good he is. But he's a good player to have as he can play CB, RB and CM - used to score many of NI's goals at youth level playing CM, his best being to score 4 or 5 in one match.

I don't know his contract position, except that it was 'extended' in the PL contract list (possibly to cater for his Cambridge loan last season), and I'd have hoped that it was extended again before he went to Rangers.

I do think the Rangers loan will be good for him under Warburton, providing he keeps playing. Just a question then whether he fancies a season or two in SPL to finish his education (Rangers must be a sure bet for promotion after their 11th straight win putting them 8 points clear of 2nd place)

My logic was that he just doesn't stand a chance here imo. We hear Carter-Vickers is ahead of Veljkvovic and most likely the next to be primed. Wimmer rarely gets a game himself so Ball and CCV won't. The question is does he want to try and get a loan to the Championship and see if a good season there forces him into the Spurs team (never say never) or get him picked up by a PL club. If it doesn't then he will most likely be sold to a Championship club and graft there for a while. My logic was I think he might as well while performing well stay at Rangers get European football next year playing at a good standard and maybe get picked up from there. If he leaves they could replace him and not need him again.

Didn't know that he banged goals for NI

Fook me, Scottish Independence is sounding more and more appealing. Increasingly looking like all the sane, cultured Scots (there are many!) must live this side of the border!

As suspected, as long as he avoids a career ending assault, this loan will be the making of Oduwa. I just pray he survives because we've got one hell of a player potentially on our hands.

http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/dominic-has-a-ball-for-northern-ireland-u19s-161012/ Moldova I know, but anyone scoring 4 in a match.....

Ball was on the bench for Spurs Europa League 2-2 draw away to Benfica in March 2014 and again an unused substitute for two EL games in 2014/15 season in Europe as well as Hull City in PL, So its clear he's been recognised by Spurs as being a good prospect (difficult enough to get on bench) , but not ever got on the field !

But I agree its very competitive, and Wimmer (who's clearly got a lot more playing experience) is hardly playing.

So far it's a loan that will see these two youngsters gain plenty of confidence. Ball for his rave reviews/performances and Oduwa for the ego-stroking given how scared shitless defenders/hackmasters are of him.
