Spurs have signed a player who simultaneously solves their biggest problem, answers questions about their financial power, takes them to another level on the pitch and proves their new status away from it.

Very positive article, especially opining that Ndombele is the best player ‘available’ in his position (whatever available means).

Clearly what we need in terms of type of player, with the bonus of age and fitting the Poch profile.

However he is only 22 and has had only 2 seasons at the top level in France. We need to be patient with him; anyone coming to a new country will need time to adjust. Just because he cost 55m and is first choice for France doesn’t mean he’s going to hit the ground running. He may do, hopefully he does but he may also need a season before we see his talent & ability on a consistent basis in a ruthless league.

Ndombele does everything the great Claude Makalele did, with the addition of a 360 degree (highly accurate) passing range and the ability to beat players going forward. I haven't been so excited about a signing since Jürgen Klinsmann.
