Well ....

we won, Gomes kept a clean sheet and Obika and Mason will remember this for the rest of their lives, though Mason may not actually have touched the ball.

And we've got 6 points so we should be through regardless of what we do v Spartak.

Great to see a few of the youth developments come through tonight, Obika looks quite a physical lad for an 18 year old, one to keep an eye on perhaps.

Comfortable, no problems, but we really need more intelligence in the final third. Come back soon, Luka.

This game showed how much we miss Modric's creativity

And Jenas, because we always seem to play so much better when he's in the team no matter what we think of his performance

Good result I reckon, a good solid job from everyone. No frills but no one had a mare.

We gave them a bit too much space tonight and didn't press for the ball as much as we have done recently, maybe due to Jenas' absence. I think Hudd missed his runs through the middle too, it looked at times like he was looking for the give-and-go but Zokora wasn't getting forward for them.

Good game for O'Hara though, he's starting to look pretty consistent.

I know I can't really judge the lad from this game alone, but Obika looks shit, IMO.

not the best of games but a win is a win and it should be enough to go through to the next round

Thanks.

He touched it a couple of times. As I said, I know I can't really judge him right now, but he reminds me of a young Heskey. I could be wrong, of course.

Adequate and nothing more. Looked complacent at times. Real disappointment was Huddlestone. This was a game he should have bossed but he was poor. If Jenas had played like that then there would have been a chorus of complaints on here. He may be believing what Harry told him about being the team's quarterback, but he has got to start showing that he is and not just believing it. He was the most complacent of the lot.

Not the most exciting game, but we did enough. O'Hara was outstanding tonight and Gomes looked much more confident so his new coaching regime may be paying dividends.

Seeing another Davids on the pitch was like deja vu - amazing - and he was their man of the match for me. He even runs like Edgar.

A win is a win but it was a boring game, saying that we had no more injuries and the guys should be fresh for the Everton game
