I was thinking about Sunderland, Fulham and Stoke toward the end of last year - those games were close to each other and I was impressed with him. I just checked, and one review site gave him man-of-of-the match against Stoke and in the last day game against Villa. I didn't watch that one.
I think that's fair enough, was not one of those games where he lost his head because of the crowd reaction and was subbed at half time???
And possibly other players in our team had slacked off at that point or knew Tim was gone so perhaps he looked better???
I don't have much against him really I just don't see a player that will ever be good enough for a want to be champs league team and also don't see him being happy as second choice
The references to his 'attitude' are based on bullshit, really: all it comes down to is his rather blunt way of stating, more than once, that he wants to be at a club where he can play every week.
As long as he understands that he'll be in competition for his place, shows more eagerness when he is caught upfield and grows up a little bit, he should make a good left back.
Please only as a squad player, NEVER first choice as he is not top class.
Back to Danny Rose, Last season was his first full season at spurs..... he stared the season well but injury and change of management resulting in average second half of the season.
Shame on you guys for not even giving a spurs player representing your club a chance to show his worth, Shame on you for not trusting the new manager judgement.
Look forward to us conceding lots of free kicks around our box next season then!
Totally agree. It relates to when he said that he wanted to play and not spend another season in the reserves. He wants to play, that's a good attitude, the opposite of David Bentley.
Rose has only played left back for two seasons and is improving.
One plus - If he'd left then a lot of people would have had to find a new first team hate-figure to vent on.
