has he worked with any keepers we have been linked with possibly? could be a connection there as maybe a new incoming keeper would have a favourite coach that gets the best out of them??

good to see we finaly have a gk coach.

Hope we also keep Robbo and see if this guy can get him back up there. Bring in a new no.1, and see if Robbo can get his place back.

I am thrilled with this appointment. After reading the book he wrote on goalkeeping('The Art of Goalkeeping'), it is apparent that he knows a great deal about the mental approach to the game as well as the physical.

There is a small video of some of his training methods at the bottom of this page

 Thanks for that insight! Most of us plebs were going "who?" but you clearly knew perfectly well, so cheers for the resounding approval.

It is about ruddy time too. Key role, I hope we've got the right man for a key role.

He does look a bit like a young,

I'm wondering if this is going to be the guy that decides whether Robbo stays or not. Hopefully Hans will be able to look at Robbo and decide that he can get him back to his best.

How funny would it be if all the 'Levy in Spain' lark was not about any players, but just a new goalkeeper coach?

Welcome, Hans Leitert.

I was thinking the same all the eto and santos talk and never saw neither but got a new goal keeper coach

Went and googled some videos from Recreativo Huelva matches. Looks like they have the same problems with the keeper as we do.

I have only seen a few clips, but i saw flaps at crosses and a long range shot from Real into the top corner.

 he can make a diffrence with us though

Thankfully we didn't recruit the defence staff then.

not much difference between them and us as in assured goal keeping similar sort of mistakes we were making. (this is what i have read on other sites would not take it as gospel just wondered if anyone else had seen anything)

I've just read the bumph on the official site and it actually makes reasonably good reading. The club genuinly seem to have gone about the recruitment process thoroughly. Worst case scenario he can't be any worse than that wanker segers.

Even if it is true you must ask, "What materials was he working with? Are the keepers he was training any good to begin with and did they listen to him?"

Cant see this being true. Lies and rumours are always not far away when spurs are involved.

If it was true it dont mean hes crap, you could look at the defence and team he was with.

I suppose us laymen in the art of goalkeeping should keep it all in context by comparing Hans Segars with the same criteria.

from what people have said he's a very intellegent bloke. written a book on goalkeeping.

maybe he was employed because he could not just coach the physical side of goal keeping but also the mental side. which robbo has showed makes a massive difference not just to the keeper but also the team as well.
