Unless we get a shit ton of money I'd rather we don't have any additional sponsors.
It'll start to look like a cycling top. And they all look like proper idiots.
... or an Italian club rugby jersey

Shouldn't the third kit be announced this week?

Remember back at the end of June when we thought they were waiting for new signings to announce the home kit in, bless us:LOL:
I would assume so.

Surely we will have to wear it against Newcastle?

Both our home and away kits clash with Newcastle's home kit.

In the recent past, we've worn navy tops and socks with white shorts at St James. As such, I don't think we've any guarantee as to a 3rd kit this week. I assumed that the delayed 3rd kit releases were a UA thing, but now given this, it seems that maybe the club/Levy has some rationale for delaying it. It's possible that market studies have shown that the 1st and 2nd kits sell better when you delay the 3rd (reasonable), and then the delayed release draws in excitement so as to possibly even boost those sales.

Nike release all of their third kits in one go, in early/mid September - they all follow a set template/theme together

Where do the PL badges go?
On t'other sleeve.

The official rationale is that the Premier League no longer has (and will not have) a title sponsor (formerly 'FA Barclays Premier League', now just 'Premier League'). The theory goes that until the rebrand, there has long been a sponsor on the sleeve, incorporated in the Premier League's badge. So to offset the (marginally) reduced revenue to clubs, one PL badge is being dropped in favour of a sleeve sponsor, for those clubs that want one.
