New Balance & Warrior are the same company.

Great Knowledge! Did not know that.

How bizarre that NB have always been a pretty classy fashionable brand but they used Warrior as their initial label to break through into football.

Thinking about it Maybe Liverpool, fashion, 2 and 2 .............. :p

Still, a clear improvement in shirt with the rebrand.
Like the England cricket one day shirt too.

How the hell did they get that past the Southampton board? No stripes it's not a Southampton shirt (i'd be pissed if i was them) that said it will make it easier on my eyes when they're on the TV; now if only someone can sort out Stoke and Newcastle :bag:

Warrior is a popular lacrosse brand in the USA and is known for being a bit over the top. New Balance is the conservative label used.

Here's an idea of Warrior's branding, soccer boots with glory holes...

Warrior is a subsidiary of New Balance. They have their own style, branding, and logo, but of course their operations are mandated by the folks at NB.

Yeah, I probably should have phrased it better. I was just trying to point out the different marketing strategies used for each specific brand under the NB banner.

I actually don't mind that but UA always seems to get just small things wrong on the shirts that can almost ruin them. Like the cut off at the top of the thick white stripe by the shoulder blades looks strange, like how it just ends.

I wonder if the back is panelled like this or whether it has stripes. UA have done some different backs of shirts for us (thinking of the chevrons)

That Saints kit is a throwback to when Keegan and Channon played for them in the 80s.

Don't want to risk posting a copywrite image, but google "keegan Southampton" and look at images and you'll see that kit is a real nod to history!

It is indeed:

And the back is also like so:

The old one looks a lot nicer though for me especially with the collar. Their away one (if the leak is real) funnily enough does have stripes with a dark green a black colour combination.

If I was a Saints fan I'd much prefer that to say the generic stuff Adidas were giving them. Was like Adidas with West Brom, just so boring.

Oh your post was fine, I was just pointing out why each kinda do their own thing.

As an away shirt in either Yellow/Navy or Purple/Navy this wouldn't look too bad imo. Yellow/Navy one would need white shorts though (y)

Atleast it isn't the same boring template that most of Europes elite/National teams will be wearing

Isn't it a bit lazy these days to go back to an old retro strip. Come up with something new
