Our new favourite... I'd like ours to be like this, with navy stripes of course.

You wont miss them in the away kit that's for sure

It's a bold move from Nike but I quiet like them.

After 22 years (got to be some sort of record) Reebok won't be making Bolton's kit. From now on Adidas will be making them.

They still got the stadium rights? Odd.

Yes they do, Reebok was originally established in Bolton so the name is remaining for heritage reasons. I guess it's possible as Reebok belongs to Adidas.

I did not know that. I thought they were American.

Yes they do, Reebok is owned by Adidas and was originally established in Bolton.

How the mighty have fallen. Reebok once surpassed Adidas, during the era between Horst Dassler's death and its revival under Louis-Dreyfus. With the loss of Cologne and Bolton, they only have Sao Paulo and CSKA in football. They once kitted 4 EPL clubs and half the South American national sides. They have lost the NFL and NBA and their ties to Indian Cricket are taking a beating due to some scandals.

I did not know that. I thought they were American.

They've been situated out of Canton, Massachusetts since being purchased in 1979, which is why we often forget they were originally English.

They actually benefited from a Chinese manufacturing error on their trainers, which involved soft leather uppers rather than stiff uppers. These were then sold in the booming aerobics movement of the 80's, to propel them past Adidas and Nike for a time. Serendipity, huh?

If you ever want to a different but interesting book, read Sneaker Wars, which shows the growth of the sporting wear industry out of a fight between Adi (Adidas) and Rudi (Puma) Dassler and how their mistakes gifted Nike supremacy.

From the Bolton press release it looks like Reebok is giving up on sports kits completely. Adidas seems to be making Reebok produce only fitness clothing and equipment.

  • Barce kit is shocking!
  • Staying objective - Arsenal kit is too messy
  • Liverpool kits are relatively classy (shame about the club - recently at least)
  • Wigan is quite good
  • Stoke -maeh
  • Man United... WTF?! No that's trying to be burberry or something, it's bad.
  • Chelsea?! Same old really, would need to see away kits too
  • Swansea, nah not great but not bad.
  • Norwich - so so
  • Bayern away kit, nah don't like it actually.
Let's hope the Spurs kit does us proud, but let's face it, does anyone ever like a rival's kit? I mean the Liverpool one is quite nice I guess, but has anyone here thought before "Hmm that EPL club's top is so nice I would consider buying one."?

Citys kit reminds me of the David White, Niall Quinn days with the black trim.
