I agree with you. The only thing I can think of is that their Sky Blue and our White are too similar on black and white screens.

What kit did we wear when away to Man C this year?
Are there really still people watching television on black and white screens? I highly doubt it, certainly not to any proportional significance.

The only reason for wearing away and third choice kits in a cup final is to flog more of those kits to fans who traditionally only buy/wear a home kit.

There are lots of people from all over the world who watch English football on black and white TV's. Not everyone has access to modern flat screen HD tvs etc.

I think there is something in FIFA's bye laws somewhere that alludes to this black and white tv thing, but maybe it's been removed over time.

but you are probably right though - money! :)

"With our home Lilywhite and blue kit deemed to conflict with our opponents’ sky blue and white strip, we are required to wear alternative colours for the match, as determined by the traditional toss of a coin."

Surely there's no such thing as black and white tellys anymore, certainly not since analogue died and everything went digital?

I know this happened in Britain, but has analogue tv been removed all over the world?!

My original point may no longer be right (regarding the reason why we dont wear white against Man C), but if you're both telling me that all analogue TV around the world no longer exists and therefore there are no black and white tvs that are used to watch football on??

That would blow my mind! :)

There are colour blind people to cater for too. 8% of men.
They'll better distinguish the teams if the shades are very different.

Could it perhaps be for the colour blind? With it being 2 light colours?

I don't actually know tbh, although the colour blind option does make sense.
I was just thinking of the crappy little B&W telly I had as a kid, with its coat hanger aerial and thinking that in today's smartphone world, surely people don't still use them!

Volt To Become Nike's Typical Color For Tottenham

Tottenham's new 22-23 training kit was leaked. It is made by Nike and will be worn in the Premier League campaign that is set to begin in summer 2022.

The new Spurs 22-23 training jersey is part of yet another Nike Tottenham collection that features a hi-vis yellow color - it is set to become something like the new standard from Nike for the North London club.

The Nike Tottenham Hotspur F.C. 2022-23 training features a striking look based on Nike's new 2022-23 training template. The Nike Spurs 22-23 training is mainly 'Volt', Nike's preferred new color for Tottenham.

In fact, a hi-vis yellow greenish-yellow seems to be Spurs' new typical color from Nike. It is used for most of the club's training stuff from 2021-22.

An alternative black / hi-vis yellow paint job will be released as well.

Tech-wise, the shirt is based on Nike's template for the 2022-23 season. It has a new cut with raglan sleeves for no distractions. An intricate pattern woven into the sleeves' fabric.

Available from July 2022, the Tottenham 2022-2023 training strip retails at 50 Euro.

It won't be that hard to distinguish between the two sides. The ones with the ball are Man City and the ones without the ball aren't Man City.

“Volt” is such a tacky color.

Based on the club info about the new kit that has come out in today's 100 years of the Cockerel info, the kit that was doing the rounds a few months ago is indeed the home shirt for next season

Thats quite nice - must admit. Id rather a v neck collar as ive got a fat neck with quadruple chins so the round neck accentuates my facial features more to make it look like the kid from south park.
