According to ESPN we are stalling on activating Wembley for next season. Any idea why ?

I believe THFC have the option to use Wembley but are not obliged to.

There's presumably a cut-off date by which time they have to make a firm commitment (well, there must be) but until it's as certain as it can be that the new stadium will be ready on time there's no benefit to Spurs in confirming anything.

I don't think anything can be read into this yet.

Even if everything is going to plan it would make little sense to activate the Wembley deal any other time than deadline day right?

Remind me, will the pitch turn by 90 degrees when it's finished ? From the pics, I can't see where the kop end is going to be.

No. Exactly the same orientation but a bit to the north.
The "kop" will be the south stand which is not being built as it's around about where the current north stand and north half of the pitch is.

Because espn haven't got a fucking clue what's going on but have a 24 sports channel that they have to fill?

Or levy being levy?

Somewhere inbetween.

i wonder how long it is before the decision is made?

the thing is, Levy might want to leave it as late as possible pending on whether we are playing CL footy next season, no CL and he might want to go smaller

rushdenyid on coys:
Was at the VR premium seat showing today, they advised the crunch date for a firm completion date from MACE is due mid January
This will trigger a press release about the Wembley year etc

same guy on ftl: Still some of the 2.5k seats available, but not many

Stevepil on SSC emailed Donna Cullen about the camera situation. Her response:

Hi Steve - the intention is to have the cameras reactivated early in the New Year and with a different system. Given there is no work on site over the festive break - and therefore nothing to see - we have used this time to re-do the original set up. Appreciate your frustration - hopefully you'll like the new angles - regards Donna

No cameras until Jan but seems the builders have the month off, I mailed back and said thank you and I look forward to seeing it in Jan, and suggested they put an announcement out and she said does not want to tempt fate and needs testing first!

The whole building industry routinely shuts down between the Christmas holiday and the New Year. It's not efficient to re-mobilise for the 3-4 days between the two breaks.

And besides, currently it relies heavily on eastern European labour who tend to go back to their home countries over the festive period.
