Do we really need 4 screens? It's complete overkill. Wouldn't the two big ones at the back of the South Stand be enough? Especially as we want the fans in their to not behave like bellends and nudge their mate and say "ooh look we're on the telly!" And the North Stand screens are at the expense of some seats. I'd estimate about 500+. And we could increase the capacity to around 62k without them.
Don't forget they'll be selling advertising time on the screens pre-match, halftime. During NFL breaks. Levy's on the ball...

May be a tongue in cheek sort of comment, but I'm absolutely sure, and quite correctly imo, that every commercial opportunity should be exploited. Hopefully to the benefit of the attendees (us supporters), although I wouldn't be able to guarantee that!

Nah, mate I was being deadly serious. I've been to NFL games and the advertising is constant on the screens. It'll be a real money maker.

On my 3 trips to the states I've attempted to watch TV but they have ads every 5 fucking minutes. At least here it's every 15 and you know how and when they'll come.
Over there you don't know when the actual program will come one.

I appreciate it is early days and I'm sure no communication is of yet has been made on ticketing and in particular season ticket arrangements and how they would be allocated in the new stadium.

I am a park lane season ticket holder, and would want to sit in the one tier stand... So I'm assuming we would apply and they allocate based on the stand you're sitting in now or your preferred option where availability permits ofcourse.

I fucking want the south stand bitches

First time I went to the US, I went to Florida and rented a private apartment for 3 weeks, it was much cheaper then a package tour! Whilst there I watched a film on TV and got to the climax ..... only to be interupted by an advert, just before the crucial part. When it finished the title rolls were scrolling. Bollox to that! The last thing we want a supports is fucking adverts and accompanying sounds during the game, just because the 'mericans expect it! AND, let's face it, if we are taking our loved ones to a game, trying to persuade them to love our beloved 'Spurs, the last thing we want is for them to be distracted by 'Wonderbra' adverts ........ err, hummmmm, on the other hand ......... ehh feck!

Agree.

I think ideally have two screens, bang centre above the goals, on the struts of the roof, so out of the way. Also would keep the stadium looking more like current WHL.

Alternatively, if they do want more screens, have a complete wraparound screen round all the struts of the roof. Would bring in a fortune in advertising.

I very much doubt in game advertising would be allowed by the various governing bodies.
Other than the standard height pitchside boards. Which do my head in as they're a distraction now they're all electronic and animated!

I wanted to give everyone a little knowledge on how the advertising works here in the states for games. Which ever company is broadcasting the game, doesn't care about the game. Its more about how many commercials they can throw into that game. An example is the "Super Bowl." Those commercials cost a million dollars for a 30 second spot, literally. In the NFL they have, what they call, "TV time outs," they randomly stop play between downs so the broadcasting company and can throw commercials at you and make huge profit. When you're at the game, this is when the screens show advertisements. This is why it takes 4 hours for 1 game. Other then that, they show what is being broadcast-ed on TV as well as replays. I've been completely turned off by the NFL because of this, my football starts 7am.

MLS on the other hand, handles the advertisements properly. Pre-game, post game and halftime advertising. No more, no less. Now if only the quality of the game was better...

Apparently the American TV companies tried to pressure FIFA into cutting the game into quarters during the 80s in an attempt to try and get the game off the ground over there. Or it could have been in the run up to USA 94. Either way FIFA told them to do one.

I think it would be difficult to do that now. They would have needed to incorporate that into the design. I personally wish they'd made a few more nods to WHL in the design, and the screens on the roof is one of WHLs most identifiable features.

I'd be disappointed if the new stadium didn't have personalised screens incorporated into the back of every seat.
Plus obviously a large menu of choice with various films available and maybe even some previous football matches to watch featuring Chels/United etc. PS2's would also be a nice touch. We could all play FIFA 2018/19 with the same teams on our screens during the actual game.

Wouldn't that all be amazing

PS Selection of prawn sandwiches from the venders coming around replacing the old mantra of Dry Roasted Peanuts with Moist Prawn Sandwiches

Maybe just a gambit whilst negotiating capacity allowances for league games.
There is an urban myth on the web stating that the Kop is a steel frame and can be built very quickly. There is a chance allegedly that we could play in a 'horseshoe stadium next season'.

I've been convinced all along there's a possibility of us moving in to the partially completed stadium next season. Remember, that was the original plan. The retractable pitch and different roof design changed that but I'm sure there must be some kind of solution.

Yes it certainly was the original plan. I just can't see that they could finish the 2/3rds of the stadium and fit it out by the end of August. Our in house experts @davidmatzdorf et al did say that the fitting out would be the longest part of the job and they only have 8 months to do it. I do hope I'm wrong, but I just can't see it.
