I’ve always thought so. The lower tiers look the same sort of rake as the old WHL to my un-tutored and amateur eye.
*My other eye is of course much superior.

Do stadiums still need to have pitchside access for ambulances/fire engines, etc?
To be fair, to get that “sweeping curvature” you’d have to sacrifice proximity to the pitch. The sharper break allows for the stands to be closer to the pitch, which is what we as fans wanted.
