I'd certainly like to see more photos from inside to see how far along it's progressing
The exterior and inside the stadium is coming along great but the insides are what's going to determine when it's ready

I'm not sure if they'll go that far but who knows. I think cards will slowly die out like cheques. The likes of Apple Pay and Paypal will be used to pay for anything from your phone. Alternatively you could use an accessory instead. If I could pay for travel, access the stadium and buy from the shops/bars using only my phone I'd be all for it. The fingerprint scanner adds that extra layer of security that would open the possibilites.

Have none of you guys ever been to a big race meeting? I can't see bookies wanting to go cashless. The queues would be so long that you'd never get a bet on. And paying out the winnings would be a nightmare.

After paying off the season ticket I don’t have any cash anyway so I don’t see the problem.

you forgot to mention that theres nothing left on the card either.

I forgot what cash looks like, though my bank manager is starting to get worried as I need to put some in my account. if I was attending a game tonight I'd go hungry, thirsty and bloody knackered pushing my car 30 miles back and forth

I would also be very angry as the game is in Holland:cautious:

Just come back from club shop. It's very impressive, but having been to Barcelona's shop earlier this year, I don't get the claim that it's Europe's biggest club store at all.

Who cares if its the biggest or the smallest I will settle for the fact that it is quality and has lots of room to move about .

Yup bookies is definitely one place cashless doesn’t work. Incredibly annoying waiting for someone to put a bet on by card.

Did you go upstairs as well (or maybe through the secret door!?) Isn't there supposed to be a 100 seat Cinema in there as well. I'm presuming they are counting this within the (biggest shop in the galaxy) claim?

I'm a stateside supporter who bought tickets for the Chelsea match through Thomas Cook. Just received this email from them:

Not sure if this is notable -- they could just be going off the Daily Mail report -- but FWIW this is the first time they've reached out regarding the match being moved. I have until Thursday to cancel the booking without penalty (which I will do once the club makes the official announcement since getting a ticket at Wembley will be easier and much less expensive), and we'll certainly hear something before then.

Just a quick follow-up on this since I don't think it was posted... Gold tweeted later that day he'd been told that "one foreign travel agency has emailed Spurs fans who have booked tickets/trips to the UK for the Chelsea game, claiming they've been informed by the club that the match will be at Wembley." So it looks like Thomas Cook sent that email to me based on information from the club, not from a media report. I think it's pretty clear that Chelsea and Southampton are going to be moved to Wembley, and I'm surprised the club hasn't come out with an official announcement in the last couple of days, especially since they could have delivered some positive news (club shop is open) with it. I know they want to be able to give an opening date, but unless safety tests are being conducted this week they wouldn't be able to do that, correct? I'd also be surprised if anything comes today since the focus is on the PSV match.

Anyway, Thomas Cook is giving me until 5 PM tomorrow to cancel without fees, and I hope the club will make an announcement before then so I don't have to make a decision without official confirmation. We paid a fortune for the tickets through TC (which included a hotel room we won't even use), and my thinking is that I and two family members (who have all been One Hotspur+ members since Sept 7 of this year) will be able to get tickets through member sale. Of course, if the cutoff is earlier than that we'd have to risk it going to restricted general sale. At the least we'd probably be able to get a few tickets that the club allocates for abroad supporters groups. Anyone who cares to give me advice regarding the ticket situation feel free to send me a message directly as I don't want to derail this thread. Thanks.

I think this is the 100 seat auditorium, but I might be wrong.

Is that DS on the ball? Nice touch if they got CE/EL to come in, but of course all the squad as well as the youth setup included in that wall loop.

Stuff like this comes to mind...

2 soundbites go:
CE: "Get the ball" and when the kid cries "that was a shame/too bad" (beatifully lost in translation as it is also a comforting phrase for kids).

Sorry for going off rail, but yeah, looks like you could fit 100 in there :)

If you mean ready for hosting games, then yeah, I imagine we're nearly there. If the wiring/alarm system hadn't failed at the test event, we'd probably be in there already. So long as the problem was/is being fixed, then we will be further along (obviously) than two months ago.
