I'm sure they will have all the lights on. It looks like they're just testing patches of them. I'm sure it will look better when it's done. Daniel Levy just doesn't want to waste too much electricity.

Blistering barnacles.

I thought that the stadium was all going to be lit up akin to Allianz.

Whilst it looks pretty decent, the lights do appear somewhat random from the pictures posted.

Still, stadium itself looks the mutts nuts.

EDIT: @Dunc2610 that explains my thinking it looks lit randomly. Do you know how much actually will light up ??

They might be limited on the lighting by being in a residential area

Apologies if this has been covered already but the U23 fixtures from April onwards are listed on the OS as being played at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (https://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/matches/u23/).
The Chelsea match on March 1st is still at the Lamex in Stevenage but everything after that (no home games until Monday April 8th) is at the new stadium.

Seems odd to use such a big stadium for the U23s when about a third of these matches have taken place at our training ground this year. Either capitalising on people who can't get tickets for the first team games once it opens or potential test events? Would hope the former as 29th April for the second test wouldn't be great for the first team getting in before the end of the season.

It's just a placeholder I think.

It's just a placeholder I think.

I did think that but I would have expected the training ground to be the placeholder for U23s with it being moved to the Lamex if scheduling and expected capacity permitted.

Just decided to get really into this and wayback only has one snapshot from 31st December (https://web.archive.org/web/20181231104529/https://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/matches/u23/) and at that time we had the new stadium listed for the April games. Although still a bit odd the March ones didn't have that placeholder as they did for the first team games both then and still do now.

I think I'm over-analysing it but I'm on shared parental leave the baby sleeping and not much to do as it's chucking it down!
Maybe it's time to turn the computer off...!

I did research work for NFL a few years back on;

1. If the ground would be suitable due to conflict in fans of football clubs not wanting to attend a Tottenham stadium.
2. Whether a franchise over here would be well supported

On number 2, I personally feel it would fizzle out after a couple of years. It will be seen as a lesser organisation that free agents won't want to join, fans will start to get fed up after the novelty factor has worn out and they've seen their favourite stars a couple of times. Add to that, most of the "real" NFL fans already have a team to support and won't change that based on location, I personally feel it won't work. I certainly expect them to try it but i'm far from convinced it will last.

Interesting research carried out. Was this for your degree or something along those lines?

Personally I disagree. I believe that if an NFL franchise came to London on a permanent basis the sport would grow significantly over here. People would grow far more tribal with a team they can go see, know more about, have more media attention focused around thekmetc and whilst some would stick to their NFL teams already chosen, the prospect of season tickets, genuine following on a competitive level, the thought of game day and atmosphere of it all would bring thousands of new fans to the sport.

Me personally I enjoy the NFL and have drifted between teams I enjoy watching. If a team was in London it would be a given that I'd get the opportunity to know more about the players, the team, the game day, be able to get together with fellow fans to watch games, have a beer with them etc it would add significantly to my experience as a fan.

I don't think an NFL team would fizzle out here, I think when you look back at how many franchises have moved from one City in the states to another and gone onto grow that a move to a completely untapped market in not just London but in Europe could be a giant gain for a team needing new life breathed into it

Thanks for posting that (and the other video)

Watching those videos it becomes clear that there is actually very little external work left to do

2 to 4 weeks and 99.9% of the remaining work will be complete (I'm guessing)

Couple that with internal work continuing and I'm starting to think we may well be in there by the end of the season

None of that work is relevant to moving in. We are not already in because of problems with the integrated alarm system, not cosmetic issues with the cladding and external works. If they can't get the alarms approved, we can finish the whole damned thing and we still won't move in. If the alarms had been sorted out in (say) November, we'd be in already.
