As mentioned by Baz, I'm sure it's only a matter of that the original plans have changed so therefore the signing off will have to be looked at again in view of this. The architects and structural engineers will ensure all will be hunky dory - they're professionals after all and not just some local builders 'knocking up' a stadium. No one is cutting corners and it will be standard practice.

If the SBE recommeds certain works the club will, obviously have to carry out the work. The Old Bill just want to cover themselves and ensure that the work was done. Makes sense to me, it's just sad that it's necessary these days.

If it makes it safer for me and my fellow fans I'm quite haapy with the Met's position. I doubt it'll cause any delay to be honest.

Unfortunately it's part of the world we live in. We are looking at as though "it's just a Spurs game" but I'm sure that if England get selected to host the WC or Euro's then White Hart Lane will be considered as one of the "sites" and then you are not talking just your average football fans but also a potential list of dignitaries from various countries that would be in attendance.

EDIT: Not to say that dignitaries are more important than "just your average football fan" and therefore require higher security, unless they are in the opposing end then, meh! ;)

I don't think they will recommend any works.
The guy will look at the plans for the building and the area and come up with a contingency of if a bomb does go off or if there is a threat.
Exits and evacuation zones/ proceedures may be different to that for a fire, but they should be already considered.
We may have to introduce search proceedures for the basement carpark. But that amounts to a mirror on a stick and extra barriers.

edmonton: Bit of itk, NFL meeting to make decision is Wednesday next week, could go either way between Spurs and Wembley. Will make a big difference on stadium build.

I personally think Wembley would have to pull out some amazing tricks to stop us now. Holw can they compete with a purpose built stadium with NFL in mind?

Yep, you just wonder how long we're going to have to wait to see the stadium ready for use. I'm not getting any younger !

And what happens when the interest in NFL in this country dies like it did in the 80's? I'd rather we built the best FOOTBALL stadium we can personally.
