i'm nervous for this, i really really really really really hope the new design rocks and isn't just a tweaked version of that silver ufo bluemirates effort of eight years ago.
As much I agree, I'm really not expecting much change at all

It depends whether you mean accidentally or "accidentally".

In the event of a genuine accident, the contractor's liability insurance would [eventually] have to pay out to have the damaged building restored to its former lack-of-glory. And English Heritage would be all over the contract to rebuild it, fussing over details and being a right pain in the arse.

If there were evidence that the building had been demolished in an attempt to avoid having to retain and restore it, then what would follow would be planning enforcement action, lawsuits, major fines and [eventually] rebuilding the damaged building, complete with "right pain in the arse".

As Spursidol posted above, very recently a developer illegally demolished a pub in North Paddington (I don't think it was even listed yet, so EH were not directly involved), with the plain intention of pre-empting it being listed and forcing the council to give consent for a redevelopment with flats. Westminster Council decided to make an example of them and they are being forced to rebuild it, exactly as it was before.

I saw this on the news, I think it was a Russian building company, they really have tried to make an example of them. At the end of the day whether we agree rules and laws are there and you have to abide by them.

Wasn't there something a few months ago when a poster on a forum, maybe even here, said he had caught a glimpse of an overhead plan, and said there was alot of glass to one end of the revised stadium which looking from above was 'egg shaped'

So Chelsea have offered more for Wembley and the panic is on that they'll take it ahead of us.

So far, I've only seen a conceptual design for their stadium, ugly thing in my eyes, meaning that, as has been already alluded to on here, they are a goodly way away from breaking ground at SB, whilst we already have the temporary works in place and excavation underway.

Cheatski may well get Wembley, butI highly doubt that they will vacate SB at the same time we vacate WHL. So I reckon that if both want to use Wembley, it is unlikely there will be a clash.

Quiet you, that makes too much sense. There's no room for logic here.

If there is going to be a NFL announcement today doesn't make much sense, lots of other sports and finance stories for the media already.

First day of the ashes, Murray in action at Wimbledon, and the budget to boot.

Would be poor timing, assuming they want to maximise publicity

There's going to be a whole Summer of Sport, there won't be any good time. Remember, this is not the same for the US, so it suits them, which I suppose is just as, if not more, important. Raising publicity in the US is one of the main aims of this, clearly.

I know Adam, used to work with him. He's a big Spurs fan and speculates as much as the rest, so that post could easily be related to stuff he's read on twitter, but he also knows football/Spurs people and he may have had some info too. Either way, we'll all know later today by the looks of things!

NFL story will be suitably large enough to have an effect over here and NFL promote the hell out of everything anyway.

The other thing is that it doesn't need to be a huge news story, nothing is going to happen for at least 2 years, however during those two years the NFL marketing operation will get into full swing and promote the shit out of the location change

Just the idea that Tottenham Hotspur will be HOME to NFL Europe is exposure enough to add zeros to the naming rights deals

None of those things are of any consequence on the other side of the pond though.

Everybody in the UK already knows who Tottenham Hotspur are, but when @NFL tweets out the address for our microsite to their 12 million+ followers, I imagine it will be the first time some of them have even heard our name.
