why does the Kop bit of the Kop stand look so narrow on that image - is it the case that only two sections of seats will go all the way to the top? Not really one tier if that's the case IMO

I guess it depends on what you define as a single tier. A big square like Anfield. Or a larger version of what Marseille have on either end, but with an extra 4000 seats.

Taken from the Telegraph today:

And what of London’s status as the sporting capital of Europe, if not the world? It is the go-to destination for major sporting championships and for American sports looking to expand their audience. Although the NFL declined to comment, Patsalos believes Brexit will endanger the current London international series of games. “The way the NFL view it is that London is a gateway to Europe,” Patsalos said. “My view is that (because) we pull out of Europe then they will reconsider that deal.”

Wonder what impact this is going to have on our stadium funding and NFL deal.....

Could be huge... There are bigger issues to me personally than this, but from an us and Spurs perspective, this could be pretty bad. Let's hope it either isn't, or Levy had a backup plan.

Have they not already signed a contract, so this would have no bearing on that.

As @DanielCHillier stated above, the agreement is already done, the club & NFL both released statements confirming that, so this Brexit bollocks surely can't have any affect on what is already agreed & signed. Don't forget that the majority of tweaks to the stadium (and training lodge) designs, were specifically to provide for NFL.

It'd be a legal minefield if the NFL attempted to go back on what's been agreed now.

I'm sure you're right, but it would so bloody typical for us right now if that deal was based upon a remain vote and we lost funding.

A lot of threats have been made by existing investors and prospective new investors in the uk in the build up to the vote, and quite a few since.

Most are simply saying what their shareholders would expect, and some will see this as a commercial opportunity to leverage some kind of advantage from the government or partner organisations.

Uk can still he the gateway to europe without being a member of the union, just like without sharing the euro.

The new agreement will see the removal of visible and invisible barriers to tradecbefore they are even put up, including common standards or mutually recognised standards.

In what particular tangible ways could the nfls model playing odd games in london be affected?

I seek enlightenment...

I don't see why it would be effected. Eu citizens wont need a visa to enter the uk just a passport as they already do.

from justspurs on coys:
Heard a very interesting snippet that we may be in talks with Uber as sponsorship partner for serious money. Doing a bit of research it looks like it would make a lot of sense.

  • Uber recently started a partnership with Lyon for their new stadium. The announcement said the initiative is part of Uber’s plan to strengthen its presence in major European stadiums and concert venues.
  • The NFL deals gives them huge US exposure too.
  • Uber raised $2.5 billion this week.

Prepare for the Uber Stadium.

Not shooting the messenger Dov:

I as someone who works in this industry will be disgusted with this sponsor.

This company a subsidary of google are systematically forcing drivers to work longer for less.
Meaning less safety for the public as drivers are working over 18 hours a day every day without breaks
siphoning money from the local cab offices into shareholders pockets
Are planning driverless cars therefore consigning thousands of drivers redundant in the future.
