What is the qualifying criteria for a true fan.
I think to be a true fan you have to have the same views as him, simple really

I don't think I -fulfill the criteria. Oh wellI think to be a true fan you have to have the same views as him, simple really
Absolute bollocks....you would just about stomach another North London site? WTF? So its the fact its a North East London site that bothers you? So lets say they move 4/5 miles directly North? Or a mile of two south next to the Emarites? You're happy with that.
I can understand the Say no to Tottenham outside of Tottenham" brigade somewhat, but not the "Say no to Tottenham outside North London" thats just mental.

IF the NDP is completely unviable (I dont believe it is)
and
IF we have to move to compete (which I dont believe we do)
Then yes I would consider a site elsewhere in NL
Just care enough about the club not to see it sell its history and identity down the toilet for a "easy fix" and a "quck sale"
Maybe (if all or most people shared N17_Spurs views) the protest group would be better off being called "we aren't East London" rather than we are N17.
I don't understand how those who claim the heart and soul of the club is tied into the Tottenham N17 area and if we move from there the heart is ripped out of the club and it will die then turning round and saying they would be prepared to accept a move if all else failed so long as that move stayed in North London.
Either the heart and soul of the club is in Tottenham or it isn't make up your mind?! Or is the Heart in Tottenham but the soul spreads to all of North London.
HOw about this, I think of Spurs as a LONDON club not confined to North London we are a London club so I am more than happy for the club to stay anywhere in London.
To some the club's history is trying to play the "glory game", and, to quote Bill Nic, ""Spurs have got to be the best in the land, not the second best," to be in Europe or be nothing. These are the things that I identity with the club, not a piece of land on a run down road in North London. Repect the past, but don't let it tie you down when trying to write the future.
Levy is following Bill Nic's tradition and trying to make us the best, whether he makes himself rich at the same time - I don't care.
You have ompletely missed the point.
I would rather stay where we are in Tottenham if at all possible.
We are Tottenham Hotspurs
Not London Hotspurs
Not THE Spurs
Not Stratford Hotspurs.
WE ARE TOTTENHAM FROM THE LANE
Or, as you would accept, Tottenham from North London....bit hypocritical if you ask me!!!
You are quoting the man who lived within a stones throw of the ground until the day he died.
You think he would have wanted the club to move out of Tottenham?
Bill nick didnt just respect the history of the club he made the history of the club. God only knows what he would have though of the Londinium Hotspurs playing in the Warburtons Mega Dome.
It makes me want to cry thinking about it.
Jesus wept it like banging my head against a brick wall.

You think he would still be living in Tottenham these days if he was a young manager? No - cos it is a shit-hole.
As usual, you only see the part of Nicholson you want to, the traditional man, but as the quotes suggest, everything he did at Tottenham was about being the best, the best players, the best football, the best set-up. We will never know what he would think about the potential move, but Spurs cannot ever be the best playing in our current stadium.
I've seen suggestions, I think in the guardian, that the decision will come out next week sometime.
