No, it's not BoJo babbling, it's more the cut and paste ambiguity of the journalist. The article speaks about the possibility of a single, seamless, regeneration area running from Tottenham down to the Royal Docks with a Mayoral Development Corporation running the show.

Here's the quote...

The Mayor said: "There's a big job of work with Spurs and Haringey which we are taking forward now. There are exciting prospects for that part of London. It's not just football but all sorts of regeneration possibilities.

"There's the Tottenham Hale option, all sorts of things we are exploring. We are looking at a Mayoral Development Corporation creating an arc of opportunity all the way through to the Olympic Park and the Royal Docks."

The first bit (in blue bold) is interesting.

1060 re Jermaine Jenas, probably...

In terms of a new stadium, things really have to progress this year. Otherwise we won't have the infrastructure in place to keep up with the big boys, mediocrity will become commonplace once again (many more 0-0 draws and 3-2 losses at Bolton to look forward to) and we'll be a top six club for the next twenty years. Sort it out Boris - give us that Enterprise Zone!!!!

This thread will probably reach at least 1000 pages by the time we start building a new stadium.

This is an extract from an article by Paul Kelso (Chief Sports Reporter) in today's Daily Telegraph:-

There are growing concerns within government that Tottenham Hotspur’s legal challenges over the Olympic Stadium could derail London’s chances of staging the World Athletics Championships for the second time in less than a year.

The potential impact on an athletics bid is a cause of irritation in government, and there is a suspicion that Tottenham may use the issue as leverage in their search for financial assistance for a new ground.

Tottenham insist they are simply keeping their options open and pursuing all avenues to ensure the club can move to the new ground that is crucial to their development.

As well as appealing against the Stratford decision, they are examining ways of making their original stadium development at Northumberland Park more affordable, and looking at alternative sites in Haringey.

Telegraph Sport can disclose that a site near Tottenham Hale station has emerged as the leading alternative location, with sources suggesting it is being looked at “very seriously”.

Crucially, the site has better transport links than White Hart Lane and the Northumberland Park site, with a Victoria Line tube station and overground rail links to the north. (and of course Liverpool Street)

Also, another article by Paul Kelso in the Telegraph suggests that the Olympic Park Legacy Company may have moved the goalposts

What is this site near Tottenham Hale?

This is the Paul Kelso article, right? I've just checked again on Google Maps, just in case I somehow missed something, and there is absolutely nowhere near the Hale where there's space for a stadium except the playing field back of Gladesmore School, but that's slightly smaller than the existing site, never mind all the land north of Park Lane. I can only surmise that Kelso's a lazy twat who's talking out of his arse.

I was looking on Google Maps as well SS57, and couldn't find much unless the club plans on knocking down many buildings.

Any ITK? Or do the contacts only work during the transfer window?

The most trustworthy ITKs work outside the transfer windows delivering us accurate team news and sponsorship details, but unfortunately none of them know anything about our stadium plans.

There are a few on COYS that know about the stadium plans and have passed things on before. Not much being said at the moment though.

It would have to involve a pretty drastic and widespread demolition of buildings if the new stadium were to be built around the Hale. From a look at Google Maps, the Hale retail site and a few Warner film intro style industrial units could make way for a possible stadium - but how many CPOs would that involve?...

More than ever, location is key is to success these days and Tottenham Hale is the best served area in Haringey. Any possibilities of development here must be examined thoroughly - although why hasn't this been done before?... Really hope Levy and his land economics are exploring this now.

There isn't a chance in hell of us building a stadium near the Hale. That boat sailed long, long ago.

I did contact the club over a plot of land directly next to Muswell hill golf course,
It was next to the a406, the right size, a 15 minute walk from new southgate railway station, 10 minutes from Arnos grove and bounds green tube station, on orion road and it has bus links to brent cross, barnet, walthamstow, potters bar etc

i mentioned it on coys a few weeks back but supposedly the land has been bought by a company for £16m for an incineration plant.
