I listened in to a phone conversation today and heard that we will be at Wembley in November. A compo deal has been agreed and Spurs people were in agreement with what Wembley laid out on the table.
Oh! Big news of true

Levy's going to Wembley
He's happy with the rent fee

Wait, November?

If true, that would mean construction would begin in summer and we won't really be able to say goodbye to the Lane :(

So that'll be a season and a half away or its built in just over 9 months!

Then there's the work Haringey/TFL have to do.

I doubt it.

They surely can't have been referring to November this year.

I heard that the ST renewal date was being put back by around a month. If that's correct, could this be the reason why? Please note that I am adding 2 and 1 1/2 and making 17 here.

thought i read it was pushed back as they didnt advertise the closing date well and changed due to feedback. Not sure where i read that, if it was facebook or OS

if you can't tell us whose telephone conversation you listened into Houdini, at least give us some background to how the conversation came about.

Could well be. Now that Archway's land has been acquired that's the major stumbling block out of the way. Haringey/Spurs own the rest of the block of land the new Stadium is on.

Aside from the fact that we don't have the land yet, we don't have a main contractor and the finance isn't in place...

Haha OK. The land will be ours by summer, if the design is complete or even mostly complete (which it should be by now) onboarding a contractor between now and November is more than feasible and how do you know the finance isn't in place?

I was with a customer yesterday afternoon when he took a call from a colleague at Wembley, he said to me,..... 'Hold on this is about your lot (spurs)'... and put the phone on loud speaker, i heard the caller say what i have written in my previous post along with a few other details. The other details being the amount of games/events that are allowed to be played/hosted there, i asked if it would be fine to repeat what i heard and post it, he said it would be ok.

Aside from the fact we won the cpo, we have a £50m contract for the works to start and HSBC will cover us with a £350m bridging loan if needed. You are correct. ;)
