David implied that the photograph was of a space 'under or behind Sainsburys', but not within the oval of the new stadium. I was correcting that impression. It is part of the basement of the new stadium.

Brunel Spurs on SSC thoughtfully put this together showing exactly where that photo was taken :D

The north east corner of the stadium is being demolished. That is impossible.

I think a lot of assumptions are being made by the fact that there will be a decrease in capacity by 4k at some stage next season. Earlier ITK had suggested that this was to be around Xmas. If Spurs can still sell these seats for just part of the campaign next season then I'm sure they will. I think the reason they have moved the ST holders now is that it would much easier to do so now than part way through the season. Sell these tickets at the moment to members until they have to carry out the necessary work? I will stress that I don't know this, but am guessing. After all 4000 x circa £40+ x say 8 matches is around the £1.3m mark. Spurs would not wish to throw that away unnecessarily.

I was a bit confused for a minute too. I didn't think we were that far along. Mind you with all the work going on at ground level I haven't a clue what's going on there so its no surprise

Have you been looking at the cams? For the last month or so they've been pouring concrete on the basement floor, building columns and for the last two weeks or so they've been building the ground floor above that, starting in the centre of camera one and moving south and east. Almost the whole of the ground floor on the north stand has been constructed but there are still areas of the footprint that haven't have the floor covered with concrete, let alone work on the ground floor.

Someone on SSC mentioned that the webcams for the Minnisota Vikings new stadium are very impressive, and they are. You can see them here

I've heard (on good authority from someone who spoke to DL) that the seats will be put back in and will be at full capacity for the start of the season. A baffling decision to take them out and put them back in but then again this is Tottenham Hotspur we're talking about

Nothing baffling about it - if they need access to what's underbeath the seats to lay foundation works for the new stadium, but then can put back the seats then great. But the recent press release from the OS would suggest we aren't putting them all back.

I hadn't actually had chance for the last couple of weeks so thanks for surmising. All good stuff.

Edit: wow that's one big stadium on the link!

Thanks. When I was looking at the photo on a small screen, it looked as if it was a fitted-out space with sliding glass doors, wall finishes and built-in furniture! I couldn't see how they could have got trades in to do first and second fix of services, etc.

Now that I can see the photo on a decent-sized screen, it's plain that the space hasn't been completed and it looks completely possible that it's under the north stand. Sorry for the confusion.

Way off yet but has anyone heard what they will do with Bill and Darkie Nicholson's ashes in the new stadium which are currently under the pitch in front of the West Stand?

I went on the stadium tour at the beginning of this season and asked this very question, apparently they will be moving the short distance with us!

What's happening with the seats being taken out? Surely not just chucked in a skip, put them up for auction, I'll take one!

I'll take two... one for each cheek
Joking aside, I am looking forward to larger seats with legroom. The bloke that sits next to me isn't a regular at the gym and I spend most of the game leaning forward.

Although the seats are red and in a quiet, foul smelling arena, sitting down at the emirates is always comfortable.
