I was on the stadium tour today....it was mentioned that the club are hoping to organise it that season ticket holders in the Shelf Side and the Park Lane will be put in the the new single tier South Stand Kop to help enhance the atmosphere....I'm pretty certain they said it will be the closest stand to the pitch too.

The height of the new stadium will be twice as high as the current one.

Also said that Nike will be the new kit supplier but I believe that is pretty much already known, if not already revealed.

Also one of the blonde receptionists is fit (y)

Sorry if any of the above has been written already in the thread, I've not looked through it recently.

Tottenham Hotspur take another step closer to Wembley following Brent Council decision
The prospect of Premier League football club Tottenham Hotspur plying their trade at Wembley Stadium next season took another step closer to fruition last night after councillors were advised to grant a central planning application from the national stadium.

Earlier this year Wembley applied for 31 more full capacity events to be held at the stadium between 1 August 2017 and 31 July 2018 which would pave the way for 90,000 fans to watch Spurs in every home fixture next year.

Brent Council have now put together a 44-page report which recommends that the planning committee give the green light to Wembley’s proposals, with a planning meeting scheduled for 23 March to deliberate whether the plans should be given the go ahead.

It is still yet to be confirmed by the North London club whether this season will prove to be their last at their historic White Hart Lane home with construction continuing on their new £800m stadium, with Chairman Daniel Levy remaining coy about exact timeframes.

The Evening Standard reports an official at Brent Council as saying: "Following extensive consultation with local residents and businesses, taking into account the merits of the application and comments and views from the consultation, Brent Council has published its recommendation to grant planning permission for the application by Wembley National Stadium Limited to temporarily increase the number of full capacity events.“

You might well be right that they were the only ones, I remember this iteration and the plaza etc. as I was very close to the project at the time. I was just under the impression that some of the row to the north which was/has been retained (and never under threat) was excluded because they too were listed and too difficult to justify removing and on that basis were never included in the planning or mentioned on the basis they were nor part of the scheme.

It's possible that there were other existing buildings that the club decided not to demolish because they didn't need to and thus didn't want an avoidable argument.

I wouldn't know about those. I'm only referring to the ones that were subject to a planning controversy between Haringey, THFC and English Heritage/Historic England.

Looking at the plans, there doesn't seem to be a great deal to be gained by demolishing that northern section of existing streetscape. It's not got a lot of depth to it, so I don't imagine there would be much added value to redeveloping it.

"Following extensive consultation with local residents and businesses"

 And then completely ignoring them as they were almost entirely against the application

Since we're going to have an increased attendance next season, wonder how much extra money we'll make from home games.

Isco and Tielemans money :)

That's highly unlikely. We don't know the details of the lease to use Wembley. I doubt it has a fixed rent, I expect it varies depending on whether we can use the upper tier - the more people who can attend, the more we pay.

THFC didn't obtain planning consent for 31 extra full-capacity events. Wembley did. They only would have done that if there is something in it for them.

There's no rent payable on WHL, the club owns it outright. Why would we assume that the club is going to make more money by renting a stadium?

We also don't know the ticket prices yet. Will the club adjust prices downward for a season, to attract those fans (like me) for whom getting back and forth to Wembley every couple of weeks is a deterrent?

I hope they make the ticket prices very attractive so we can get a full crowd each match.
Going from 36,000 to 80,000+ I'd hope we see some increase in revenue.

These are from the Virtual Reality premium tour. Your supposed to look at them through VR goggles, (which might I add looks way more impressive). If you have bought a seat or are thinking about it, they'll send you a pic. They are very basic renders though, and there not made to show much more than basic seating layout.

There's another incentive for them to do that. Despite the long waiting list for season tickets, the club is going to have to fill a hell of a lot of single-match seats in NWHL as well, with an increase of 25k (69%) in capacity. A good way to do that is to get thousands of people who habitually attend 1-2 matches a year (in part because it is so difficult to get tickets for some matches) into the habit of attending more frequently, while we have the capacity at Wembley.

Modest prices would help that. If we can perform adequately there (a big unresolved question), we could get another 10k+ people into the habit of coming and then tempt them into continuing the habit once we're back in N17.

Going from 36,000 to 80,000+ I'd hope we see some increase in revenue.

As I said, it mainly depends on the revenue/rent arrangements in the Wembley lease. There must be an incentive for both sides to maximise attendance, but I don't know how the balance of that negotiation worked out.
