I have admired Sam for his work at Bolton, but at Newcastle it seems like he has lost it.

Why does he use the team he uses now? It is not the best avalible team at all, and he does not see it....

Strange, because I thought he knew a little bit about how to build a good team...?

Owen is not as before, and Viduka is also not as good as before. And he is leaving Martins on the bench!

I think Newcastle had a better team before, but if he uses the right players, they can still compete and play some good football.

Bill's probably pouring his breakfast Singapore Sling at the moment, Tony. It's about 8 in the morning where he lives.

PMs on the way as soon as I can chaps. Apologies if it doesn't have the personal touch I usually try for. I under-estimated the interest in the strange goings-on at NUFC!

Since learning this news it makes a lot of sense as a lot of the UK papers are reporting that Ashley and Allardyce have fallen out, but none are saying why. With Allardyce's track record, it's highly possible that they don't want to get done for writing this.

I find it hard to believe that anyone could be so stupid, as is being suggested about Allardyce. If he has taken a back hander since he's been at Newcastle, then he must have some sort of illness like claptomania. After all the heat brought down on him after the Panorama show and the investigations, he'd have to be crazy. Also the guy must be pretty damn rich so doesn't need the money. If this is true, then Allardyce is certifiable.

How does the law sit on this if the payment is pre-agreed and declared?

Is it only if the payment is extortionate or not declared as part of the transfer then it gets investigated, or is it just plain illegal for managers to get a few notes for transfers in any circumstance?

'k, dudes. You should all be pmed up now.

I totally agree with joey that this is insanity on a grand scale, if true. Allardyce should never be allowed to manage again if this is proven. However, i can't help but wonder how provable this kind of thing is. Seems to me like there might be much more of it going on than we realise, and that the balls up by the makers of Panorama last season has actually only served to make catching the crooks harder.

For anyone wondering about 'the Kieron Fallon thing'. Fallon has been linked to peculiar betting patterns and being in regular contact with bookmakers. Michael Owen apparently has been texting him at least daily to enquire about the form of his 4/5 horses, while all this was going on. Not sure if its illegal per se, but its certainly got the England striker very worried.

Finally, hope everyone appreciates that this is clearly not gospel, but also why, given the position of the guy I spoke to, I choose to believe it.
