Mason, Carrol and Chadli need to be sold. Onomah needs a loan in the championship. We then need to sign 3-4 players to compete next year. Two strikers and a CM for sure. The squad is too thin and we overachieved with the players we have this year. The lack of professionalism from the team in the last two matches has been shockingly poor, not sure how we change it....as I said earlier, I fear for us next year and worry this season was a fluke. Top teams just do not capitulate like that,
More like 4-5

Great season overall. Shit day today. Players seemed to mentally lose it after the Chelsea game.
Now everyone calm down and stop embarrassing yourselves. Lots to look forward to.

Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino: "First of all I would like to apologise to our fans, I think they don’t deserve all that happened today on the pitch and I apologise. It was a shame and diffcult to understand

"In the last couple of weeks when you do not play with 100 per cent it is impossible to win games and after Chelsea something happened. We cannot manage games in the right way.

"I am very disappointed because our fans don’t deserve it, it is difficult to go tonight and see my boys and my wife. I think it is unbelievable and we are very disappointed.

"We had the possibility to stay second and how we lost and how we gave to the opponent that is relegated, in the first and second half, they score three goals with 10 players it is the worst day as a manager and I feel very disappointed. We need to be sure that never happens again and need to improve our mentality. We were on holiday and that is the reality."

At least Poch has admitted they where on holiday, hope they all feel proud of themselves.

TBF its no different to people saying our season has been ruined, we're fucked for next season or that this team is no different to other teams of the past. Its just anything positive right now isn't a popular onion, its all doom and gloom, but we'll get over it, we always do and slowly but surely we'll start feeling the positivity again. Its just that right now we don't want to. We want to get it off our chests.
Exactly this

Why? You seriously think a football team is a question of 'blood'? Your undying loyalty just lines pockets and for what? So that you can occaisionally feel happy about something that had nothing to do with you or your blood.

I hate that I enjoy watching football.. to the point of embarassment. Personally I would envy someone who managed to kick Spurs for good.

Can't speak for others but I'm not embarrassed in the same way as you, and don't envy the many I know who've walked away in the sense they don't go once in a blue moon now if at all.

I am fkin incensed not by the score line, but by the attitude we started the game with, which makes me highly doubt the narrative we've bought into as the season went on, when without a couple of key players we actually look pretty ordinary.

One is the cog and the other is a kid with imagination who takes risks.

It's in my blood and fingers crossed after a couple of quality signings and watching the stadium start to go up I will dig deep and be back for more. Enjoy Tescos yourself.

I didn't watch the second half, feels like the best decision I ever made. Right now I couldn't give a crap about the Arsenal aspect but what I am concerned about is what long term damage this could have on our squad (if as we expect most that played will remain) losing 5-1 to a relegated bunch of shit with 10 men - with three of those goals coming when they were down to 10.

We were all laughing at Liverpool last season and now we have to contend with that for the whole summer, I just hope there is no long lasting effect, but what a time and way to save your first back to back defeat in the league.

On the plus side at least the league is over now, because knowing us we probably would have gone on this 'downward spiral' and swapped the champions league position for the europa league. Finally at least Newcastle have gone down, we seem to lose an awful lot of points to them which is awfully embarassing as most of the time they play as a bunch of individuals.

Yesterday i had a microscope and a pair of forceps stuck up my dickhole and a 24 inch long stent pulled out of my bladder. It was the worst pain i've ever experienced.

Until now

I at least applaud Poch in his interview. His apologies is accepted, and basically said this has made his decision in the summer for in my my opinion 'outs and ins' firmed up.

What made me accept his apology is that he agreed that his wife and children should be ashamed of him today and that he doesnt deserve sex until he wins a league game with Spurs again.

back up implies a secondary option, ie not as good. Is that genuine competition?
Can you really see us splashing out and buying anyone good enough to compete with those 2 ? Unless we get lucky (or call it good scouting) with another Alli

Why do people feel the need to be doing these pep talk posts telling people how to act? Even the manager is publicly apologising for god sake so maybe thsts a slight clue that those angry are justified?

I suggest that the happy clappers can be happy if they wish and the angry ones can be angry. No one is right or wrong so I think everyone should just let people get on with processing this how they want.

He is spot on, glad there are no patronising platitudes in there and I suspect some players will not have done themselves any favours with poch the last few weeks

One thing I will say is that Poch won't forget that today and won't let the players forget. Can only hope it will stand us in good stead next year. I trust Poch.

It's hilarious in here sometimes. Grown men having a hissy fit over the prospect of being mocked by somebody else. Grow some balls. It's been a great season and I'm sure as hell not going to let the prospect of being jeered by some idiots ruin it for me!

And so he should be

A result like today's could end up being more beneficial to us in the long term than if we had finished 2nd and won 5-1
yes, I hope Poch can make winning at Stamford Bridge being a mandatory result next season first.. then clear all our hoodoos, and lastly claim the scalp of the scums in the final standing by being 1st....
