It's been a while Tottenham, quite a long time actually but its really good to have you back. Such a sight for sore eyes.
Yes - welcome back the old Spurs. It's been a while since we smelled the 'Spursy' mid-table attitude.

Are we fuck done. We've smashed more than 2 past far better sides than this. We just need to come out with a completely different fucking mentality in the next half
Had 2 certain players in the team though

The Chelsea fiasco hurt us and turned us imo. Losing Alli and Dembele has destroyed our shape and drive.
But seriously, the former incident should drive us better to give teams some questions to ask.. And the latter scenario should have been a great motivation for the replacements coming to stake their claim in this side, they are not half bad! But wtf was those performance in that 45mins? Kinda disgraceful isn't it?

So glad I opted not to go up there this weekend, but for those of you blaming Alli and Dembele for this should remember there are 12 well paid players out there who should beat this pile of crap with ease. I feel sorry for those die hards have spent a load of dosh to watch this crap

12? We've an invisible man? would explain our wayward passing lol

Newcastle is only 50 mins down the road for me but even I couldn't be bothered to go after last weeks performance plus the Geordies (fans) are nuts and are out for blood.

It's a shit performance, but it doesn't completely undo everything we've done this season in automatically qualifying for the Champions League group stage, something which most people didn't think we would achieve. Some people really need to gain some perspective. One game doesn't make a whole season.

Who's talking about one game? We're talking about the last 4 games including today. We could have had 2nd place sewn in any one of those games, at the moment we're looking at 2 points from a possible (and certainly achievable) 12 points schedule. We needed 3 points from those available 12 points. So no, not a kneejerk at all.

People clinging on to the hope we are in the CL next year, based on this showing we are going to get hammered.

Rolling over like this to a relegated team when all we needed was 1 point is absolutely unforgiveable.

Lost it at Chelsea, let them in our head and they have crumbled us.

I'd argue it was the WBA game. They made life difficult for us. Yacob wound Alli up to no end. Sure, the Chrlsea game left a mark but the game before is where we started slipping.

Because Dier is a defender so his partner has to bring the technique and guile, Mason isn't giving that so Newcastle can just sit and pounce from piss poor service.

I would drop Eriksen next to Dier.

If he's a defender he's doing a fucking shit job, we are 2-0 down.

Dier is a central midfielder in CM2, in a game in which we've had 59% of the ball, if he can't contribute anything other than being a 3rd CB, and he's not going to show for the ball when we need it, then he shouldn't be out there in a game like this.

The front four and Dier have all had worse games than Mason.

I think it's the sudden lack of fight that has pissed people off. It's like we used up all our fight in the Chelsea game. I can take losing to any team. I can't take not giving everything for 90 mins and tbh this doesn't feel like they are giving anything close to everything. It's like they don't want to risk an injury ahead of the Euros. Totally unacceptable.
I honestly think they're tired. Also they may have taken a psychological blow

Complete lack of professionalism throughout and they should be docked wages and made to publicly apologise to the fans.

They are all on holiday mode and just don't care.

They have let down themselves, the fans and the club regardless of the outcome of this game their performance has been a disgrace.

This isn't physical fatigue. It is mental fatigue and missing two players absolutely crucial to the system we play.

Ok - being constructive. Take off son for clinton - get some directness and speed. Take off Mason for Carrol. Cant be worse

No dembele, no foothold in the game. All talk of forward/vertical passing means absolutely nothing(not accurate anyway). Actually there were people calling for this midfield even when dembele was available. Laughable really. I actually think Diers being exposed as a pretty limited with the ball at his feet without the physicality and the ability of dembele to absorb it. For me number one priority in the summer is an imposing, athletic/physical but technically good central midfielder.
