Poch must learn from this and what it means to us fans - all we needed today was to park the bus, keep it tight and try hit em on the break but we should have set out for a draw.

The only thing we had left to play for was to finish above that lot and boy when Poch stated that he didnt care about Arsenal he really meant it but he has to understand, to us the fans, it means a lot.

It's possible to not obsess with Arse (or any other named team) and still expect a winning mentality, which was, it seems, absent today.
For me, and others have said this too, we really really (did I say really?) need an up and at em driving captain. Today (and in recent weeks) the team has lost its teamness. Just because we lose a couple of players, however talented, shouldn't mean that we fall apart as a unit. Leicester perhaps reminds us of that. And a good vocal captain would help to remedy that.

Fucking hell, it's like Rawk on here

Get a grip people, we've finished 3rd with the youngest squad in the Prem. Today's result was disappointing, but it should'nt overshadow what has been a really good season.

1st post, and I expect to get banned. What a bunch of wankers you spurs fans are. If I said 3rd at the start of the season you would have bit my hand off. This young spurs side have entertained, excited and given you hope of winning the fucking league. they have given everything and now they need your support. FOR FUCKS SAKE, appreciate what they have done this season against experienced pros.
No excuse for that performance today though. It should have been a cup final like display, not that shit.

It's about taking the opportunities you have in front of you, not some hypothetical 'if...' crap

we had it in our hands and threw it away...again

Horrible. I had actually brought into it all, I mean that the attitude had finally changed, and now for the whole summer I am now going to be thinking we still have a soft centre, and a lack of mental toughness, it's not there. Not just one game, but three games in a row
Four games. WBA, Chelsea, Southampton and now Newcastle.

Cancel the flight and send away the bus.
They should make their own way back to London.

At least Pochettino apologies to the fans and say he's brought shame on his family

The players clearly don't give a shit, then you have spursofficial tweeting #togetherthfc together? You mean like how the fans turn up and travel across the country to watch our players not bother to turn up and get slapped 5-1?

Yes...together.

The players don't give a shit, that much is clear, so much for this "new spurs"

I hate it when people say "you would bite my hand off if you had said 3rd at the begining of the season" etc etc. It's just a meaningless platitude. How can you excuse a 5-1 defeat in that manner to a relegated side when we would have been happy with a 0-0 draw?

Fair point.............. but if you then asked that same question when we were second with 8 or so games to go, you would have had a different opinion.

We have had a good season, certainly not our highest in terms of points, so what does that say?? and also in a season where the "usual suspects" really have been totally out of sorts, its how Leicester have managed to win the league this season, they have taken full advantage and i don't see it ever happening again.

70 points is rarely good enough for a top four finish .......... Plenty of positives for sure but also many many of our constant failings are still rooted deep in to the team, always the same, regardless of the players and management our mentality is our biggest of those imo.

Well that was fun. I can rely on my club to let me down time and time again. The squad needs a shake up and some proper competition for a Kane, dier and dembele needs bringing in. Probability says we won't have a season as injury free as this one again next season and we have run a few of ours in to the ground. Shocking performance and shocking result. I don't really care about Arsenal and Poch is right when he said the same, but lacking the desire to finish the job today is pretty unforgivable. Poch needs to rid us of any other players he can't trust.

If it pushes Poch to replace a few and add more quality now, then that will help

A draw, a draw was all what was needed to finish above Arsenal for the first time in nearly two decades.

A draw against a side who, to save themselves from relegation couldn't beat the most abject team the league has seen for many years.

I expected nothing less than a win, with a draw being a bitter pill to swallow.

What do we do instead, we lose 5-1 and concede 3 of those goals against a relegated team with ten men.

I can't even sum up my feelings right now.

trouble is they come out passing the ball casually aiming for the draw. once we went 1-0 down we was always going to chase.

since WBA it has shown how important Alli has been, and then Dembelle. all of them started poorly but Mason was very poor, and Toby picked the final game to have a rough 1.

not sure how bad the knock Walker took was effecting him, due to him being off it gave Sissoko the counter that lead to the dive, and after that if they hadn't give up, they did a very good impression of doing it.

passing, crossing, defending and effort was SHIT

“Before the Man City game I was having dinner with Erik Lamela and I was still asking him if he reckoned we could finish top four.

“I’ve never seen someone look at me with such disgust. He said ‘My friend, we can win the league.’

We didn't win the league but we need more guys with that mentality. Not surprising Lamela was the only one to do something today.

Anyway, full focus on ITK and Euros now.

After the way our season has ended we'll probably end up getting injuries to all out players in the Euro's now

I hope we announce that CL football will be at Wembley next season today. Might as well piss us off more.

I got flamed for accusing us of bottling the Chelsea game. We've got a loser mentality that pollutes the club from the supporters to the players.
You know, people like you are a disgrace. You only come on here to push your negative rubbish. It's not about being happy clappy, it's about seeing how a young team has progressed playing what has been acknowledged as the best football. That we failed trying to reach the top is nothing to be ashamed of. The Gooners may be crowing, but they only play well when the pressure is off.
