I would be surprised if Bale asks to leave before the end of August. He must think what the fuck am I doing here.

We have no striker and no ambition.

There is no reason for him to stay at Spurs.

I thought we had the beating of them, we outplayed them all over the pitch, the only difference was they put away there chance and we never. Beaten by a stupidly conceded penalty, but I'm sure we will win some we don't deserve too this season. Come on you Spurs.

It's the result you'd expect we drew with them last year and that's with Modric and Adebayor, add Cisse and Ben Arfa out of the doghouse, and that's that. Thought we looked good at times, and AVB didn't persist with his absurd high-line. Just get a striker and a playmaker in midfield and I think we're solid.

Yeah because he was so world class today.

Who gives a sh!t about liverpool.
We are Spurs!

WE knew we needed a striker and we didn't bring one in before the start of the season. 2 seasons in a row and we messed up

It's called keeping a cool head, and realising a season is 38 games....not ONE game.

No it's not it's called preparing your team for the 38 game season. It's not this result that makes us look under-prepared it's the illogical way that the Chairman has once again gone about the business of not buying players to replace the ones he had already sanctioned to sell.

Over the 90 we were the better team, they barely attacked us and got 2 goals out of it somehow

Some of u need to relax a little!
Someone who also 'watched' the game then! We were for most well structured, controlled it and we very comfortable. Yes, with the benefit of Ade and Luka we would have no doubt won, however AVB played his hand very well and I am happy with most aspects of the performance under the circumstances. There won't be many games where we play with Sandro and Livermore, the latter the worst player on the pitch most likely. We win our next two and do some business in the next two weeks I think we will be absolutely fine.

Was lovely to see us playing as a really cohesive unit without the ball. Obviously the lads have taken to the training well. Well done JD mate. You did your very best out there. It isn't your fault you're not designed to play the role you're being asked to all that well. Bloody good shift you put in either way.

Sig is, very early on, making a strong push to edge VDV out of the "must start" XI. Very good player.

Still, always a hard place to go and a brainfart cost us. Progress is being made but there's still more work required obviously.

Only 3 pts off top spot. Over to DL and the gang for the next few days.

Two seasons running we fucked up because we didn't buy before the season started. Levy, has cost us three points in my opinion.

I agree he hasn't helped the start of our season but even if Levy had bought us a world class striker, we still have to cut out these fucking stupid defensive fuck ups, that gift teams goals. Kyle walker isn't anywhere near as bad as BC makes out but i do agree with some of what BC says about walker. You can play some lovely football have masses of possession BUT if you aren't switched on at the other end, that can all be undone in a split second. Over the season both out fullbacks will cost us due to lack of concentration or intelligence when not in possession of the football.

I was encouraged by that performance, Newcastle were a bit lucky there today, Tactically we were good, one moment of brilliance and one moment of individual madness cost us today, not the coach or his tactics, just two moments. I hope the media don't get on AVB's back already over this cos I don't think he did anything wrong here.

At times today we looked excellent, Closing them down from the front, Using Bale and Lennon as pace down the wings, all very encouraging to me, I could see this formation working if we stick with it and give it time.

Also even with new signings I guess we would've struggled still, the problem was with the defence and not the forwards, ok we weren't clinical enough but still we grabbed a goal and should've held on but silly defensive mistakes cost us. Something which cost us last season, we just need to be more solid at the back.

Very good performance, great pressing from the entire team. When was the last time we made a top 5 team look like a bottom half team on their own ground scrounging for any sort of long pass and chase over the top?

Obvious problems in lack of playmaking midfielder and target man but that is down the board.

AVB did a fantastic job there with one arm tied behind his back.

Now get the players in and we can still have a great season, i am still saying 3rd or 4th for Spurs this season.
