I know that newcomer of the year isn't really a regular part of the Premier League, but there have been quite a few good (some even great, some possibly world class) new players breaking through in the Premier League this season.
For example:
Jan Vertonghen
Hugo Lloris
Moussa Sissoko
Shinji Kagawa
Luke Shaw
Christian Benteke
Eden Hazard
Oscar
Kevin Mirallas
Edit: Michu. How did I forget Michu?
....
The list goes on.
Who would you crown 'Newcomer of the Year' if it was up to you?
I'd probably give it to Verts. He's been outstanding. Solid defender, assists, goals and leadership. A truly classy CB at the age of 25. Lloris has been great too but he was already a big name on the international scene, being France's captain and no 1.
Benteke has probably been this years most surprising player. Never thought that an unknown player from Belgium would score 15 for a very, very bad Villa side. So credit to him.
Hazard started very well too, think he was involved in 7 of Chelsea first 9 goals or something like that, but he's sort of faded as the season went on.
