We don’t need the Red Bull model though - we just need RB-level recruiting and youth development. We have so much more money that we can compete with the big boys on wages and keep top players much longer than Leipzig can manage, and build something more lasting. But only if we find the Nkunkus and Gvardiols before they are 100m players.
But Red Bull also have a lot of misses that they can then use their satellite clubs to loan or "rehabilitate" the images. It works because of that.

What success have RBL had?

Or Brighton to that end?
Is my point on good recruitment redundant then if we are measuring it, as I suspect the angle you're going down, is purely on silverware?

Churlish in the extreme to suggest Brighton haven't had a successful season in the context of how that club is run and selling perhaps their 3 most important players in Trossard, Bissouma and Cucurella, not to mention Potter and his staff too.

I can guarantee we hear nothing before season ticket renewals and then all of a sudden at weekend or Monday, we have a DOF & Manager.

RB Leipzig is like Levy's fever dream of how he would love to run a club- making profit in almost every transfer window while still qualifying for champions league and he has Nagelsmann and like 3 DoF's sitting out there that know the EXACT BLUEPRINT to make that system work and we are just not going to pursue it. It's really baffling

Klopp has been there for years, won them a bunch of stuff and doesn't want to leave any time soon, it's an entirely different situation.
I respectfully disagree because the point is, those in charge at Liverpool appear to have a plan and are interested in soliciting input from qualified football personnel…We appear to be struggling to find a suitable DoF because Levy’s plan is unclear except that he appears to be unwilling to relinquish control… Also, there is little doubt in my mind that we could still appoint Nagelsmann tomorrow if we simply gave him assurances and his preferred choice of DoF…I am aware of the problems this may pose but I truly feel it is rare to have an opportunity to hire someone of Nagelsmann’s calibre so it is sometime worth going all out to ensure they feel fully supported…

It feels like the rumors regarding possible DoF candidates has gone rather quiet recently but perhaps things will accelerate because of all the movement going on elsewhere…Since Enrique seems to be popular in the managerial thread at the moment perhaps Levy is sounding him out about possible DoFs he would like to work with in attempt to bring some continuity…I would like to think the silence means we are working on something big but it is more likely that we are in a state of panic because we are being rejected by our preferred candidates…

When is that?

The salary case was finalised yesterday wasnt it? got a fine, no increase in the 10 point deduction?

Prisma hearing scheduled for June and could be a further UEFA hearing after that.

Be lunacy to wait until all is 100% resolved.

If we appointed Enrique I would just pray that we don’t try and get Monchi to get him a Spanish DoF.

From what I’ve read, Monchi completely collapsed when he left Sevilla the first time and was a disaster at Roma. Hasn’t been the same since.

I think one of the possible turnoffs for potential DoF candidates is that they are probably aware the Paratici still has Levy’s ear…

I know I am stating the obvious but the concerning thing about the delay in hiring a new DoF is just how much time he will have to sort out all the incoming/outgoing transfers and loans…Whoever that individual is, they will have to hit the ground running…

Because I half expect him to reinstated if he gets away with it. A few different people have said he is working for us in some capacity.

They aren’t going to reinstate him after all that’s gone on. Even we aren’t that tone deaf. What agent or club is going to want to deal with us if we do that?
