Being realistic. Jol
Lambert
Poyet
Ancelotti
Moyes
Martinez
Coyle
Any one of these could be long term,if successful.

Lambert - No experience
Poyet - Great potential, but unlikely to return whilst Levy is at the helm
Ancelotti - Good choice
Moyes - Yes, wouldn't be distracted by licking the arse's of the British media
Martinez -Another Ossie Ardiles, though would be interesting
Coyle -Like the barbers cat... All piss and wind.

i was at a very boozey weeding yesterday and was talking to someone who works for tottenham in the youth set-up.

he reckons that harry, barring some kind of disaster, is defo england job bound at the end of next season. i asked who he reckons will succeed him and he said lambert of norwich.

apparently levy loves him and he's got a reputation as being progressive and bloody marvelous.

he also says that tony parks loves gomes but is sick of the costly errors, that lennon is an a***hole, that JJ is a nice bloke who spends hours with the youth team, and some other stuff that i cannot remember.

Mourinho. Tried, tested and proven in all competitions in four different countries. Plus, he'd be a big draw card for a number of top players. One of those managers who could genuinely be the difference between money or something more admirable being the motivator for them signing.

Would love to see Jose dancing up and down the touchline at the Lane but that would mean Levy scrapping his strict wage structure in order to get the players Jose would want, we all no thats not going to happen! I think he would turn our great squad into champions...but alas I think this is only a dream!

I would be dissapointed with Moyes, O'Niel, or Coyle because in my opinion they would not be able to push us forward - all good managers but IMO not great.

The obvious ones are Ancelotti and Benetiz, I know I would rather have Ancelotti out of thesse two.

God no, am sure Lambert is very talented but he has never managed a team in Europe or even the premiership yet, to put him in charge of a team that has CL ambitions would set us back a generation if it went pear shaped which with his lack of experience it very well could.

We need an experienced in Europe/CL manager post Harry

Just seen Carlo Ancelotti is taking a 1 year break from management, that could fall nicely into our hands next year
