No chance of signing anyone decent if you cant sign someone from the Dutch league. Sad times we're heading into, strap up lads

Imagine doing all that due diligence, only for the bloke to turn you down at the first opportunity. What have we been doing for three months?

How many times do we get used like this to hike up deals or improve contracts, players and managers must rub their hands together when they know Levy is coming calling.

Embarrassing, regardless of the situation now if we don't have a manager and dof in place in the next three days we are even more screwed than we already are, also to add Glasner would be the worst possible appointment at this stage, his Frankfurt side have quite simply forgotten to play football

It’s all so fucking transparent as well. Watch, it’ll be Nagelsmann dangled to us for a few weeks again until ultimately we end up with Brendan Rodgers.

I'll be very disappointed if slot doesn't come, but if he wanted to stay at feyenoord there's not too much we can do I guess.

There's always ups and downs in the world of media bollocks so I'll not lose my mind yet. In a day or so we'll see itk saying he's had further talks and might be on his way I'm sure. 😂

So they didn’t want Poch back, didn’t want to interview Nagelsmann further and can’t attract a manager in Slot from the Dutch league.

This is worse than the search of 2021 because of the quality of candidate available. It must be utter chaos behind the scenes. They’re going to fuck it up well and truly. Is anyone really surprised?
Nope- and that's the part that's killing me

I can only think of two reasons this has happened.

1. We thought the reported 20m contract buyout was excessive and refused to pay it.

2. Feyonoord simply convinced Slot to stick with the project after what had been built for the last couple of years and champions league football next season.

Very frustrating. But what will be, will be.
Or the Dutch are bastard tough negotiators spoiler alert, they are, and this is all part of the ongoing discussions.

The optics of this are so galling. We’re one of the richest clubs in the world and we cannot convince a man with four years managerial experience to take it.

If we couldn’t convince him, we definitely won’t convince Nagelsmann. Proper demoralising to know how badly run the club is.

This doesn’t make sense!! I’m lost about this how can Slot go from being so keen to now not coming at all? Must have been one hell of a meeting
