Except they aren't at all.

Whether or not we're in the CL next season could have huge implications for who our manager will be, player recruitment, new contracts and a lot more. It's probably 10 of our most important games in a long time.
Meh, maybe. I’ve argued the point that CL qualification has been largely irrelevant to our fortunes. We’ve been in it 6 out of the last 10 seasons and it’s bared little impact on how we’ve recruited and operated. Being able to provide a long term strategy and clear focus is the more important thing for us right now.

Still have a gut feeling Poch will be back. Nagelsmann will go to Chelsea unless we agree a deal with him soon. I’d be happy with either but honestly anyone else will be a letdown.

I very much agree that a clear footballing strategy is THE most important thing longer term, but in the short term CL qualification is still very important, especially when we don't have a sugardaddy owner, and we all agree that the squad needs (major) surgery this summer.

Whether intentional or not. Stellini and Mason means removing the root cause of the problem whilst maintaining minimal disruption with so much still up in the air regarding Paratici.

There’s no way a new permanent Manager could or should be hired with so much uncertainty around FP so I can cope with this

Bloody shame but here we are. Another one with so much promise. Hope he goes back to Italy with his family, and finds his love of football again. It’s clear he’s a shadow of his former self.

Im hoping to find my love for football again to be fair!

Why do people keep saying this? It's literally a scenario you created in your mind, there hasn't been a single credible report or anything.

Edit: Clearly talking about Nagelsmann not Poch here.

Because Chelsea, unlike our Dear Leader can make things happen if they want it. They can act with purpose and a vision. We on the other hand have a blind driver at the helm with no license who thinks he's Nigel Mansell.

Chelsea acting with a vision? The only vision they’ve had for the last 15 yrs is outspend everyone.

Interesting observation from Paul O’Keefe that the statement was signed off from Levy and no involvement/mention of Paratici

I can only see a world where he leaves to be honest

Interesting to see who we would turn to if Nagelsmann decides to turn us down/go elsewhere. If we don't get a firm answer from him early on due to him waiting on a Madrid or Chelsea, can't see us hanging around and suspect we'll move onto the next target. After the debacle of replacing Mourinho and getting Nuno in, doubt the club will be prepared to be left hanging and dragging this out.

Might be wrong but feel if Poch was the frontrunner. he might have been offered the job now and suspect he would have taken it so not sure if he is amongst the frontrunners at this stage. Don't know if Enrique would have taken the job now.

Likes of Amorim and De Zerbi just look too expensive and both their clubs are known to dig their heels in and are not pushovers so could end up being long, drawn out affairs when it comes to getting them out their clubs. Conceicao, Slot and Gallardo so who knows.

Difference between Potter and JN is JN apparently was open to coming here and Potter thinks he is too good for us.
Long may that continue. happy for him to feel that way honestly, I mean Liverpool, City or even Arsenal might want him in the future. No thanks from me.

I'd be fascinated to know on what terms Conte and Stellini parted. Is Stellini here because Conte made sure his mate had some job security for the next couple of months or is Stellini still here because he didn't agree with Conte's handling of things? It is highly unusual for someone from a manager's handpicked backroom staff to take over when the head honcho is removed. They usually follow their boss out the door. Ramos' staff all left with him, AVB's staff all left with him, Harry's staff all left with him, All of Poch's staff left with him, all of Mourinho's staff left with him, all of NES's backroom team left with him. Colour me intrigued.

Dreadful communication as per usual from the club but I'm not in a negative mindset.

I hope Paul O'Keefe is correct and Paratici is gone too so we can really have a fresh start with hopefully Naglesmann or Poch and a DOF that wants attacking football and can marry Paraticis agenting contacts with smart smart scouting.

As for the rest of the season well Stellini and Mason had a good record so let's get behind them.

Youre making out like everyone who we want would be available right now to come in. There are 10 games left with a squad who are low on confidence etc. Who do you think is gonna come in?
No im not

I never said we need to bring him in now

I said it needs to be agreed now
Oh ok then, I wonder why the club didn't think of that 🤔
I know right, Chris, its not like the club have ever sacked a manager around march/April and come July still have no clue who the fuck is going to be charge for the new season

I mean there should really be no uncertainty around Paratici, he should be sacked too (and hopefully soon)

We'll be fine.... Levy and Co will get to work in the background on the next managerial appointment. I'm sure by the seasons end we will all have an idea.

A managerial target won't decide on coming based in CL or EL etc. It will be based on our ambition, clearing of the decks etc. a proper plan and his ability to take the team forward.

Regardless of whether Paratici stays or not I highly doubt Levy will allow him the opportunity to appoint another defensive manager. Levy is at most games home and away.... he has seen the rubbish on display.... Levy is a fan too... he isn't stupid he knows and understands that the proven winner managers haven't worked ( I don't blame him for trying that approach)

They have 6 weeks to appoint the right man and also resolve Harry Kanes future. Its not all doom and gloom.

Sorry Nagelsmann, needs to be done now(whether he comes now or the summer) or we need to move on

We cant be waiting for him to then change his mind and us enter a 2021 situation

Agree. I don't think the club is going to hang around too long waiting for an answer. If there's any whiff of him looking to wait for a Madrid or Chelsea, I think we move on. After the shambles of waiting for so long for a manager and ending up with Nuno in the summer of 2021, don't think the club will want a repeat of that this time around although you can never rule it out with this club.

If Nagelsmann has his eyes on other jobs, quite happy for us to shut the door on him and move on.

I'm still not buying this Chelsea worry.

This is an owner who after 5 mins in the door, signed a bunch of players Tuchel wasn't onboard with.

Then fell out with him.

Then fired him.

He then hired a project coach in Potter, spent even more in players Potter probably didnt ask for.

If he was to fire Potter, he will then just be telling the footballing world he's a control freak who expects instant results with players just dumped on the coach.

Its a huge risk for a guy like Nagelsman who cant really afford a major failure after the Bayern firing.

At least Tottenham presents a chance where risk is lower. And for all of Levy's failures, he is someone who tends to give coaches a bit of time.

I also think Nagelsmann suits our recruitment method better.

And if we bring in a DoF that suits that, that may be a better sell than Chelsea
