In brief,

plays 433 or 4231, out of possession he presses high but not right up to the top of the pitch. Ie his team often sit off the opposition back line and lets them play it out then they presses hard in the midfield. This is done to expose the back line for a quick attack. His defence sits high like most attacking managers.

In attack they are very much a push and run team, they make up for the lack of individual skill by moving the ball around as quickly as possible. This results in end to end football. They primarily move the ball out to the wingers and look for a cut back, cross or opening. Again this is most deadly when the opposition team is exposed such as on a counter and can be ruthless exploiting space.

On the flip side they struggle with a plan B in attack especially when an opposition team sits deep and packs the box. They still try to work it wide but in general their passing patterns aren’t as nuanced as they perhaps could be. This is also where the lack of individual quality becomes more evident.

Defensively they are a very solid unit when they have time to set up but obviously can be exposed like any team that plays a high line.

All together he plays fast attacking football that is pleasing to the eye and he certainly makes a team that’s better then the individual parts but he also suffers from tactical naivety at times. A very intriguing manager who could have a bright future if he continues to develop as he has. I like him but he wouldn’t be my first or second choice, personally i think he needs a little more time before he moves.

Anyway, that was a super brief description, im sure someone else will go into much more detail.
Thank you for the info i never heard of him upto a week or two ago.
Who would your 1st and 2nd choice be i think.Almorin could be a good choice personally.

People keep saying Slot is inexperienced but he's

1. Got to a European cup final
2. Had AZ joint top in his first season but the title was given to Ajax.
3. About to win Eredivisie.
4. Worked with Arnesen.
5. In a domestic cup semi which they have a great chance of winning.
6. Got Feyenoord into the quarters of EL beating Shakhtar 7-1 on the way.

Worth noting Tottenham never went past the quarters of the modern EL and he has done it first time and got to a final of another.

If they beat Roma then that is a huge hurdle as it shows he's adpated from last year.

All this with a team which really shouldn't be doing this much.

All that from just a few years of management is seriously impressive.

If he had been at Ajax the entire time, then you would be right to question it.

But he's far ahead of where he should really be in this stage of his career.
Great points and agree based on these points that he could be a very good choice for us 🤞

I’d imagine less than half of the fanbase would be happy with Stellini and Mason staying on permanently regardless of how they do in these last 10 games
Yea I think come summer we and the players need a fresh start fresh impetus, fresh ideas, fresh tactics, a fresh positive voice.

Hopefully Stellini & Mason smash it , we thank them then get the new man in and go from there.

You have to laugh really.

A week ago most of us thought we had actually ran into luck.

Sacked our coach and a top one who fits our requirements goes on the market.

Chelsea looked like they would give Potter the season so we had time to convince Nagelsmann.

Nope, turns out waiting a week for him to have time, then firing your coach is the way to go.

Once again our luck is lacking.

I guarantee when Levy finally sells up our luck miraculously changes
100% agree.

Not sure about that. We still might get Nagelsmann but I was far from convinced we would. I still think the most likely outcome is a similar summer to 2021 awaits us. I’d love to be proved wrong but the chaos of March only points to a club with one way of operating. Badly.

No you are pretty much spot on. Whether he goes to Chelsea or not is anyone's guess, but as I posted a week or so ago we wouldn't be waiting around just to be someone's fall back option.

Obviously things may change but we've been progressing with Slot to the point I think he's the #1.

I would love to know where the Slot idea has come from though because there’s no way Levy has plucked him out of his arse or Cullen or anyone else on the board. It’s Levy following agents again which usually gets us in trouble. I’d love to be proved wrong though but I’m sceptical we’ve done any research or due diligence on him. Mind you, maybe we should actually open a “New Manager department” especially tasked with looking for the next one, given the churn at THFC.

This JN to Chelsea crying shit is embarrassing! Get a flipping grip on yourselves!
We don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes and I get that the club are a bit of a joke at the moment but that doesn’t mean the fans have to act like petulant children.
So what if JN goes to Chelsea, it’s his choice.
I’m no Levy fan and I think he should move into the revenue generating department and stay clear if anything football.
I’ve banterd with so many of you on here and enjoyed it but this is getting really embarrassing now!
No one is getting. Get a grip..

Let's face it, Nagelsmann has that face to manage chelscum. Never would be us. Better to not expect anything to save any disappointment.

Surely the chavs will want someone in asap whilst they’re still in the UCL?

We ridicule Levy for sacking Poch, but imagine being Boehly. He sacked their UCL winning manager, replaced him with Potter on a 5yr deal, only to sack Potter and be left making eyes for Nagelsmann (the bloke Munich sacked for Tuchel).

Boehly makes Levy look competent.
But if you do it with swagger like Boehly, people sees you differently. Levy will always comes across as a miser.

Galtier at PSG will be the next to go... another club to join the managerial merry-go-round :) ... start the countdown. And we will be linked to him the moment he is sacked.

Doing some video watching of slot’s feyenoord and although I haven’t given it a lot of time
It’s obvious to see as how good they are going forward they are so defensively naive, and very weak at the back when they break or even when another team is in possession.

I think Arne Slot is an interesting choice. In any case, there are many indications that he meets many criteria that are important to many of us. The funny (or sad) thing is that with all the candidates I ask myself if Kane would be happy. I know that's not how I should see it. The club should always come first and the decisions that are made should be for the long-term benefit of the club.

We need a couple of new defenders whoever the manager coming in is. I’d say one more centre back and a left back at a minimum.
