Tbf there’s nothing to suggest that the club wants to rehire poch. It keeps being brought up because the fans sing his name.

All the stars are aligning for a Poch return (which I’d be happy with)……now just need Hotspur88 to come in a remind us all, he’s going to Madrid😂

The levy out chant was louder and better supported for a start off. Paxton never have been able to make themselves heard though Tbf.
Again, maybe where you were sitting. Not where I sit. The levy out chant was loud from park lane. The Poch was loud around the stadium. Cowlins video is pretty much how it sounded where I was sitting.

Not sure you can say Poch isn’t elite level tactically then call out Arne Slot. I mean I am up for Slot, Kompany or Gallardo but none of them have operated in an elite league.

If Poch isn’t elite tactically then the only manager who is possibly proven elite tactically we are after is Naglesmann.

If tactical style is your think then the most successful style right now is Pepball and that would lead straight to Kompany as the choice.
That's a fair point on Slot, though while he hasn't operated in a top league there are already aspects to his play that are more progressive and modern than what we've seen from Poch; the big question is whether those translate to the Premier League (which is a fair question to pose). To get into specifics, I worry that Poch's possession game isn't up to par against pressing teams. He already had this weakness with us the first time round so it's not a baseless concern, except it's worse now because a lot of the league have managers that press relentlessly, not just the top three or four teams.

My concern is that the bring back Poch crowd are being led by a feeling of "he made us feel good and played good football" instead of asking the question "is this the best possible guy to bring us good football right now?" I love Poch like everyone else and football is an emotional game at heart, so I understand, but I really have my concerns. While I don't think it'll be an unmitigated disaster I'm really not convinced it'll be as simple as backing him more than we did the first time. If we bring him back then I'd love nothing more than to be proven wrong.

I don’t see it happening. I mean, if it was going to happen surely it would have done by now.
I know this is a popular argument, but I think there are a lot of complications with him coming in right now.
Paratici being a major stumbling block. Scott Munn is obviously a new one.

IF it is Poch, then I guess Poch will want a lot more control than say Arne Slot. I would expect him to want a say on who the DoF might be.

I really don’t know which way it goes? Maybe Levy wants Poch and overrules everyone?

Think you're clutching pal I don't think it'll be Poch he clearly wants Madrid.

I don’t think any final decisions have been made and might well not be made for another few weeks. Who knows maybe we will actually hold off until summer and see what the landscape is then.

So yeah I guess there is a chance Poch might come, even the latest info mentioned he was still on the list even if it was more of a technicality.

But there must certainly be some concerns by those on the board or we would have gone all out for him and thus far we haven’t. I also think Poch will still want to see what happens to RM as that will 100% be his top job at this point I reckon.

Personally I think it’s very very unlikely and I completely believe our top two choices are Slot and Ange as per ITK, especially now we have Munn who was part of the City group and they are supposedly big admirers of Postecoglou. So whilst I don’t think it’s impossible I still don’t think it happens regardless how loud the fans are.

Whatever direction we go in this is painful!

We have wasted a quarter of the season sorting out a manager! More really when you consider that Conte looked disinterested quite a while ago, and was only on a short contract.

On the back the last few managers, Levy's DNA quote, we need a new big broom to sweep out the crap and get some direction.

Levy really needs to do a press release to update the fans and give some reassurance because at the moment we are in complete chaos. Treading water. It's not fair on the fans, players and other managers interested in the role. We can't do another Nuno summer.

No manager will guarantee success! But we at least have to give them the support, tools to job and some time to actually implement it.

I think the Poch chant today will seal the deal. That wasn't just a brief rendition by a small pocket of fans but a loud message.

I’ve seen the Chris cowling video. That is not representative of how it was is the middle of the park lane.

At best, I’d say 20% would tolerate Poch return.l (and that’s Generous as around me, I’d say it was less than 1 in 20 that joined in)
It was more than a pocket of fans, you could hear it clearly on the TV, sounded like most of the stadium (at one point) were all singing it

The chant was audible but it was ironically nowhere near the “Antonio” chants last season and the “Levy out” chant was no more than 10 seconds in
and Harry scored

I'd rather not the club cave to the pressure by a bunch of emotional and reactionary fans and would be disappointed if they do. It shows that they would just be appeasing the fanbase and show no planning or strategy.

It would be similar to Elon Musk making a dumb ass poll and going through with the answer that completely affects his multi-billion dollar company negatively

it would be simply madness to do that - the gap it would leave in this team would be devastating - there is no other centre forward on par with the man - another centre forward if only it was that easy

If your options are:

A. Have £80M to replace Kane, or

B. Have £0 to replace Kane

Which is the better option?
(You have to replace Kane in either scenario)

He has one year left on his contract. If he doesn't sign a new deal, he will most likely leave on a free in July 2024 and we may have £80 million less to buy a replacement.

There are other teams who have inferior forwards, yet still manage to do finish than us by having better midfielders, defenders and coaching.
i tell you now that side without Kane would be struggling to stay up - we desperately need him to stay he might not but your then talking about replacing not only goals but leadership and creativity which him apart the side lacks both - 80 million don't buy you the chasm it would leave in the side - keeping him gives any new manager half a chance
