It's gone quite quiet lately hasn't it. I suppose even the aggregators have got embarrassed about regurgitating the same few stories.
Think it’s clear that the DoF will come before the coach, so the media have realised they can stop throwing names around. No manager worth his salt will come here until they can see a clear structure in place. Only thing they could do otherwise is announce Mason as permanent coach as you’d imagine due to his experience level his role wouldn’t expand much outside of the training pitch.

Probably trying to get a DOF finalised then go after the preferred manager to fit that DOF. Slot still has a league to win I think as well. But we're not the only ones, Cheslea seems to have gone did since the amount the news of Poch going there.

Don’t look at me. I’m irrelevant.

I imagine less negotiations - and less bored journalists - over the long weekend. Levy and Munn probably at London City airport as we speak.

Reckon the DOF and manager could get announced at the same time? Especially if there is already a link between them. Or would that take the shine of the manager announcement?

You'd think they'd appoint the DoF first to give the optic that it's him hiring the manager, no matter how involved he is in the decision.

Not only that, but we have a ways to go before the season is complete and I’m sure both appointments will pick up steam when we’re done with this god awful season. (Optimistic I know)

Appointment of both depends if they have worked/know each other, so I wouldn't be that shocked if both are announced at the same time or at least within a short space of time

Mail reporting Brentford’s DOF Lee Dykes a candidate. Would love to see us go full-on data driven in recruitment.
Are there any examples of where this approach worked at top clubs? The ones winning/competing for trophies year in year out?

Isn’t the owner of the Bee’s the founder of a statistical analytics company?
Very interesting story behind him actually. He was previously working under Tony Bloom at Brighton, who made all his money from a statistical analytics company used to beat the bookies gambling.

The Brentford owner then basically just stole this whole idea from Tony Bloom and made his own similar company. And then went on to copy Tony Blooms entire Brighton setup at Brentford.

I've come around to giving it to Ryan Mason on the proviso he can get us into Europe AND his best mate Harry Kane is willing to sign a new deal.

We've tried these managers who think they are doing us a favour and then play mind numbingly dull football trying to sneak a result.

Get a top Director of Football in and let Ryan coach/manage the team. Just like Arthur Rowe and Bill Nicholson, Mason is Tottenham through and through. He's got the necessary football licences, he knows the club, senior players, young prospects and the supporters yearning for success through and through.

People will say he's not got the experience but he's played for the club and coached at various levels.

He's the project manager we need.
