When things dont go for Pep, he is combustible too. You dont want him as well then ?
Same can be said for Klopp or SAF or any top manager. Only exception is, Carlo Ancelloti - who is coolness personified.

My first preference is Kompany, always been since we started this thread. But I am not against Tuchel. I am actually looking forward to hear some proper response on why some dont want him, other than him being ex-chelsea.

Personally I just don't see him being any different to the managers we've had before. Sure, his football might be slightly better on the eye, and he is more tactically flexible. But he's not looking to invest 4+ years at Spurs, and falls out with everyone eventually. And usually in spectacular style. Seems a little unimaginative to me.

That confirms it, Adele's song set fire to the rain is actually about Daniel Levy
To be fair I wouldn't be surprised if her next album wasn't called "Tottenham" considering every other album has been filled with stuff that have made her miserable.

Mate I keep banging that drum but every time I do someone pipes up with "I'm just defending Conte" or that "I'm anti Levy" when neither are true. My absolute finite stance on both are that Conte is a top class coach who wasn't backed properly but should still have done much better, and that Levy is a financial genius who knows fuck all about football and should stay out of that side of things.
As with everything, it's much more nuanced than merely 'Conte is shit, get rid' or there is some silver bullet here.

We need a complete change in our holistic approach to running a successful football club and that takes time and a vision from the top down and it's this that has been severely lacking nor do we get the impression that the board even acknowledge a problem.

I’m not a 100% sure on that. Lots of us season ticket holders just want to want to go again. Of course we don’t want to lose games but football is about entertainment too and we haven’t been properly consistently entertained since we’ve been back in the new stadium. Small steps.

You do know you’re the minority in this case though? There are millions of fans around the world who might have a different opinion, for instance that points are more important than anything. Matchday numbers pale in comparison.

Not saying you’re wrong or anything just giving another perspective to what Trix said

If I were Levy, I would get Harry Redknapp for the last ten games. Regardless of how he's perceived by some, Redknapp knows football and footballers' mentality inside out. Redknapp has always been able to motivate players, and with his actions, galvanise the supporters.

Treat this as a ten game season. Redknapp, Mason, and Defoe on the touchline.

I believe Redknapp would get us 6 or 7 victories from our remaining 10 games. That's more than we could hope for under Conte's negative, cautious approach

Redknapp would make Kane the focus of our play. No dropping back to his own half, he would be an out and out centre forward.

At the very least, Spurs would be enjoyable to watch.

Appointment a new boss in the summer.
I actually want this to happen now

Mate losing and drawing games against lesser teams isn't enjoyable even when it's 5-4.
That’s not really what I’m saying. I think that fans could stomach a 3 1 loss here and there while the manager was building the side, if it was accompanied by giving teams a good 4 or 5 nil thrashing either side of it.

We are all just bored of going to matches. Since we’ve been in there, once the novelty factor wore off, it just became a place to meet up to have a beer or a pie with a couple of mates. We joke that “oh, we’ve got to go watch the football now” when kick off approaches. I want a team and manager that doesn’t make me think like that and gets me excited about going again. I don’t want to have to take my kid worrying he’s going to be in tears again because of the swearing and aggression by everyone fed up around us. Any new bloke that changes that will be fine by me. Just bring back the fun!

David Hynter's full list of managers for those interested:
Amorim
Kompany
Poch
Tuchel
De Zerbi
Enrique
I'm a realist and I don't see our fortunes changing much under the current ownership, injecting the odd bit of money or not.

So gimme whoever will develop the kids and play in an exciting/front foot manner, just to make the matchday experience a bit more enjoyable for now.

I’m coming around but I’m not sure we have the players that suit him. Definitely not playing the way his Chelsea team we don’t (based on the todo video I posted yesterday evening)

He did alter his tactics from BVB to PSG and then altered again from PSG to Chelsea, so he may just make some slight adjustments to suit what we have here + a couple players we need to sign anyway like another class CB to partner Romero and an AM.

All very worrying and screams of just casting a wide net as opposed to honing in on a top choice. “He’ll come for how much and has agreed to those stipulations? Yes, he’ll do.”
Or journos casting a wide net so they can be right later when one gets selected...

I really struggle to see Levy spending even 15 mil on Amorim.

Agreed. There is no way he is paying out for someone when the likes of Tuchel, Poch and Enrique are avaliable. He'll be confident of securing one of the 3. Would throw Gallardo in the mix but think Levy will see it as too risky imo.
