After 28 games last season we were 7th place, 11points off 3rd spot. This season we are 4th place, 1 point off 3rd spot (7 if Utd win both games in hand).

Is that progression in terms of league position and proximity to those above?
Except we are in a false position, we are two points above Newcastle and they have two games in hand. It's disingenuous to portray it how you have. And above all things, we are playing like shit, with a coach who doesn't give a shit and is actively trying to get himself sacked! In what scenario does that sound like progression?

Sorry so if the club says nothing, it's ok for the press to make things up?
I never said its OK. It'll happen though won't it. We all know how it works.

The only thing that can clarify exactly what is going is the club itself.

So what are they making up at the moment? Conte going? Spurs interested in bringing in Nagelsmann?

Has JN actually been sacked as in no longer employed by Bayern? If he’s on some sort of gardening leave, then Bayern will be looking for us to buy out that contract, and we know how that may play out.

They can't have their cake and fuck it. It won't cost us anything in compensation to Bayern to hire him if his contract is terminated.

You get people hissing at us, people signing about others dying, singing about players wives, their mother's, in sure there are plenty of other ridiculous chants.

A few hundred people out of 60k singing about a former manager is absolutely tame.

Football chants have been embarrassing/offensive/ stupid for decades. It's not specific to Tottenham's fanbase it's a result of people getting pissed, angry, too confident, herd mentality and every club has people that will do things like it.

I've noticed on here a trend. Some like to take their frustrations out on the board, some on the manager, some on the players, some of us think they all equally share some blame. Others though I guess in an effort to be a more supportive fan have taken to digging out other fans or just our fanbase. Whether they're not loud enough, not singing the right songs, booing , whatever it's their fault. Maybe you do this or not but it's definitely a thing on here.

Here's the deal through. Antonio Conte isn't on spurs forums reading what bigyid98 thinks about 343. Daniel Levy doesn't give a shit what I, you or anyone thinks about his decisions on here or Reddit. Water off a ducks back. Even Emerson when those dickheads were booing him, you saw why he has made it so far, he ignored it and got better.

Out of everyone to blame the people who aren't at fault are the paying customers, Conte isn't staying or going because of the fans, Nanglesmann isn't coming or not because of a poll on SC, Kane isn't staying because people on here aren't happy with the amount of songs being sung at the stadium.

In short calling out fellow supporters might make people feel better , it might make them feel more loyal, more supportive, more rational but it's just as irrational as blaming all our issues on one thing.
it's usually people who don't go knocking the boo brigade. I don't boo but some of the first half displays in particular under AC have deserved it imho.

Anyway, good to se us linked to a few names who play better football, or who are likeable, like Frank. I'll stay optimistic till it becomes clearer that you know looks like fkin it up- again.

Why do people keep mentioning Rangnick, he was hopeless at Man Utd . That is not what we need.

Because many see/believe he helped lay the foundation of their success for this season. But yes, I believe his history shows that he's better upstairs than as a manager.

However it seems he wants to be in a manager position currently. I think most see him/JN as a good potential combo despite it being unlikely at this point

What about our proximity to third place?

I was surprised to read that their sponsors actually are major shareholders in the club. So Munich are another money cheating side.
Not really, at least not remotely a Citeh situation. The largest sponsor doesn't own anything, the other 3 majors 8.33% each, a long way short of a majority. Gives them a financial interest in the club's success but nowhere near the fiddle level.

German fans are very sensitive to this sort of thing (which is why RB Leipzig are universally hated) and although no-one apart from Bayern fans like Bayern, this stems from their long dominance and not financial irregularities.

Yeah of course its right to call out our fan base in matches. I think the nervous energy that comes out of the stands, and sometimes the cannibalism of players absolutely 100% has an impact on the players. Its like a cycle the play makes the fans nervous and quite which in turn affects the player.

Its certainly a contributing factor. But I'm not sure there is a solution. Just in the future it clicking and fans being calmed by it.

As you say, the fans at the stadium think of themselves as paying customers, they tend to middle class and this all doesn't lead to a good atmosphere. In other teams, in other countries, the fans very much see themselves as performing a role for the club not being consumers but participants of football. Going to the stadium should be about supporting your team. Fans definitely have an impact. Its convenient to ignore it.

Oh tbc this is at the stadium, in spurs community not so much.

Does anyone know what happens with best if a new manager is announced but not taking up the role till the summer? I've got every base covered except Mason, which means he'll definitely be in position a week on Monday
