You'd think a succession of "serial winner" managers that did far worse than Pochettino would've brightened his star.

I agree however there are many myself included fear if he were to return and it fails that is what he will be remembered for.
Totally agree mate, the point I was trying to make is that I don’t believe that at this moment any of our fans hate him. It’s not the reason many of us don’t want him back.

What’s wrong with him? Seriously, he’s done more than nagelssman

I would say about the same looking at both their records.

Of the managers we have been linked with Naglesmann and Poch are clearly the two stand outs in terms of ability and being a good fit. I don’t mind either of them.

I just don’t want another pragmatic negative manager. Club ain’t going to back the manager anyway so might as well get some half decent football.

My expectations of Levy/board/Paratici are very low.

It doesn’t matter who gets the role does it?
As unrealistic as it is, until fans boycott games and hit them in the pocket, the real management will continue to do the same old shite. Without our blessing the club sold its soul years ago.

the message we won't get from Daniel.
Dear fans, I apologies for screwing up the appointment of yet another manager. I've decided for the benefit of the club and it's supporters to step down from all football matters, and to get advice on appointing someone who has a long term vision and will go back to playing exciting and creative football. They will be responsible for finding the new manager, scouting and coaching team to encourage younger players to thrive at this club.
This one isn’t levy’s fault though is it? 99% of fans were happy when Conte came in. And you can’t say he didn’t back him.

I do believe that the recent failures of Jose & Conte have brightened Pochettino's star.
He gave us an era of exciting football where, I for one, looked forward to every match with an anticipation of winning regardless of the opposition. That playing freely & fearlessly was so enticing.
Having said that, I'm also aware of his shortcomings.
I will always have a soft spot for Poch but at this time, I'm all in on the Nagelsmann appointment.

Oh yes you can. There is a big difference between buying players and backing the manager. It's a bit like during this cost of living crisis the government said "we are giving everyone free access to all theme parks costing us x amount of billions". It's a lot of money spent but it doesn't keep the heating on.

If he was really wanted and coming back it would have been done by now.
Interesting. Poch's not good enough for Spurs now it seems. We've taken ourselves so far beyond his mediocre level of 77 and 86 point seasons, consistent top 4s, semi finals, finals, and CL finals.

Go ahead Levy you clown, get another mentality monster dinosaur who shits all over that sort of record of under achievement at spurs.

I'm still not buying this Chelsea worry.

This is an owner who after 5 mins in the door, signed a bunch of players Tuchel wasn't onboard with.

Then fell out with him.

Then fired him.

He then hired a project coach in Potter, spent even more in players Potter probably didnt ask for.

If he was to fire Potter, he will then just be telling the footballing world he's a control freak who expects instant results with players just dumped on the coach.

Its a huge risk for a guy like Nagelsman who cant really afford a major failure after the Bayern firing.

At least Tottenham presents a chance where risk is lower. And for all of Levy's failures, he is someone who tends to give coaches a bit of time.

I also think Nagelsmann suits our recruitment method better.

And if we bring in a DoF that suits that, that may be a better sell than Chelsea
Totally agree with this, Nagelsmann with a DoF like Rangnick would be a good place to start convincing fans that we have real plan in place..... Could see Levy making this kind of appointment, then carrying on like he is, as long as he's turning a healthy profit, he'll never butt out of footballing decisions!
