On what basis do you call Ange shit? He's been successful in every job he's had and before you say, it's only Japan for example, where did Wegner come from before coaching Arsenal. Bloody morons who don't know what they're talking about!
Ange isn't shit but that is a false equivalence. Wenger had already been successful with Monaco prior to going to Japan, including getting them to the semi final of the champions league.

People keep sleeping on Slot but I am telling you, everyone in Holland thinks he’s just as good if not better than Ten Hag…
I mean slot is the exciting new thing. It makes sense they see it that way. But Ten Hag has sustained success as well as take a club out of a very poor situation into regularly competing in europe for the first time since the early 2000s.

I wouldnt be against slot mind. But can see why ten Hag might be more attractive than slot. In any case better or worse managers is reductive, it doesnt really work that way. We don't need the best manager, we need the right one.

What is the project at Spurs??

Not singling you out, btw.

I don’t know what the project actually is at Spurs. It’s a convoluted mess of many factors.
The board doesn’t know what they want the club to be, so how can they know what the project is? I’ll be bollocksed if I can figure it out.
How can a manager take it on as a project? The current MO will likely be ripped up and re-drafted after half a season.

This club is literally purgatory.
Well put. IMO it is this kind of questioning that could lead to change, not "Levy out" - which is easy to dismiss. An open letter that asks this question and points out that the evidence at hand would suggest that nobody at club level can agree on this either, undersigned by fans, and boosted far and wide with some online media spend (which everyone can chip in for) would cause much more of a stir than a couple of banners outside the grand, with all due respect.

He did fail for the australia U20s but he has a good record.

Its valid though. He is not experienced in europe and its unclear if he would understand what is needed to succeed in europe and a team like us. Celtic are far and away the best team in scotland so its hard to accurately judge managers from there.

I'm not dead set against his appointment but I don't really see why he stands out compared to loads of other managers around.

Might be cheap given his turmoil at Chelsea.
He's also acted gracefully despite his difficulty there; so for me that's a welcome change from the Conte/Jose types.
His time at Brighton also shows that he could develop a team when given time; so might be closer to the project manager mold that seems to work better for us.
When has that worked for us? We don’t give managers time

We don’t know if there is a project or if the board have maybe decided to go all in on the football side now we have the best stadium, the best training facilities and the best community involvement scheme, as well as a massive local property portfolio to improve the area. By that all I would want them to do is not spend £100m plus on superstars but to take big chances on young talent and pay what it takes to get them. We have all heard stories about the ones that get away. We can’t compete with the state owned and money-laundering machine clubs, we get that, so let’s get in early and take the gamble. Invest and have confidence in the new coach.

I think the last 20 years is a pretty good indicator that they won’t go all in on the football side.

Mira just going to be another merry-go round, until hopefully they get lucky and have another Poch/Kane era

I guess I mean it as whoever comes will have to build something slowly, so it will be a project as opposed to a fully ready squad or one that will be made complete or made their own in one or two windows.
Agree that exactly what the project is, well that is unclear. But we will need a more patient, long haul manager than the last couple (not including Nuno or mason)

He’s untested, average and not at all ready for a job like Tottenham.

So the summer it is… whoever it is, im not sure i can take months of the back and forth and heartbreaks and rejections. Luckily the football will be back again to distract us.
Amusing thing is I’m fairly sure summer will come and we will start from square one again. I can’t see us having any more of a plan then then now. We are so grossly miss managed it’s actually hilarious. And also imagine what happens if we lose our next two games. Levy will be sweating.

Anyway, like you say. At least football starts again this weekend so we have something else to depress us.

I'm having an optimistic day. We have everything any top football club in the world would want except the team and the trophies! How silly is that and even the board can see it surely. Time to go for it, shit or bust.

I would actually love us to go for Slot or Ange. Both are exactly what we need, not another big ego who will think he’s too good for us in no time

Couldn’t give a hoot if that meant Kane left. Give them the £100m and start building something

Show me the process

This is what Tottenham does to me…

- We wait for Nagelsmann to make a decision to join in the summer
- Gallardo joins PSG
- Poch joins Madrid
- Nagelsmann is about to sign for us but Chelsea sack Potter and Chelsea weigh in and sign him (We may get another letter)
- Ears prick up and realise Potter is now free and Potter says he needs time off
- De Zerbi rejects us as clearly aware he wasn’t first choice
- We then spend remainder of the summer trying to negotiate Amorims £15m clause and fail

- We end up hiring Mason and spin it that it was always our intention, one of our own, amazing future ahead etc

Hope I’m wrong but something like the above is going to play out, good things don’t happen to us.
