Let's take a list of Copa Sudamericana winning managers:

How many have made an impact on European club football?

You simply cannot say he's not a greater risk than managers who have experience of the big five leagues of European football. Club football is very, very different to European football, even though, as you say there are differences in those leagues, too. The football culture, the pitches, the refereeing, everything is quite different down there.
I completely agree. I just don't think its worth the risk to be honest. Theres enough good managers available at the moment who pose significantly less risk and tick all the same boxes. RDZ, Slot, Ange off the top of my head.

I also am not that blown away by his results tbh. Obviously its very good but people talk about him as if it's like the South American equivalent of fergusons Utd. And that Pep quote as well seems to get wheeled out a lot as if Pep doesn't frequently talk in absolute hyperbole!

Here's what Guardiola had to say on the subject a few years ago:

"What Gallardo has done with River is incredible," Guardiola told TNT Sports.

"Some things are inexplicable. Every year three coaches are named as the best in the world, and he's never among them. I can't understand it. It's as if there's nothing else in the world apart from Europe"

and this is a decent read:
Great read - thanks for sharing.

New manager won’t be sorted until the director of football situation is sorted imo

If paratici is given a global ban, I’d expect us to put a new dof in place before a manager is in place. Could drag on through the summer

Even if its painful you are correct. We should be employing a new DOF with a strategy aligned with the club. Only then should we be looking to employ a manager who sits within that strategy.

However it wouldn't surprise me if Levy brought in a new manager and we then replaced Paratici afterwards. i.e. no clear strategy.

The entitle responses are hilarious. Some of them actually believe that supporting real madrid is pure suffering 😂.

They. Don't. Know. The. True. Meaning.
Though funnily enough. Living in Southampton, that's what saints fans say about us, guess it's all relative 😂

I'm not saying he's not a talented manager, merely that the risk level is much, much higher because of his experience. Ultimately, what I want most from a manager is someone desperate to be both Spurs manager, and to work their fingers to the bone prove their talent in the PL. I couldn't give a shit about past trophies really. We've seen that what's more important than being a "winner" is that the fit between the club and manager is right. At the moment, we need inspiration, hope, and a vision.

It is. However, we have the constant prick teasing club. Which threatens tp do great things, the falls over spectacularly.

At least Southampton is quite steady, with the occasional relegation every 15 years.

They're right. A win against them and we would have gone third so, from the outside, the level of our angst must be confusing.

We're actually victims of our (relative) success over the past two decades. We have moved from mid-table back into the top four/five, leaving teams like Everton, Newcastle and Villa (similar teams) in our wake. We all remember the 90's but most non-Spurs fans I talk to think we've been in that upper echelon Ivor ever. We are judged against the biggest teams in the league now as oppose to those in the middle tier. That's why no-one really takes the piss out of Everton and Villa not winning any trophies. We are quite a unique case.

That said, our inability to take that final step is infuriating and I fully accept the criticism that Levy and the board get on that. With our current finances there is no excuse to not be winning trophies regularly.

Conceição basically plays Jose football from 10+ years ago. Same principles and tactics.
Not true. Jose teams have never ever pressed high. Conceicao football might be direct in possession and line up as a 4-4-2 on paper but at least when I caught them last year they pressed up the pitch. Quite similar to how Newcastle play right now.

Gallardo, Nagelsmann & Amorim - I'd be very happy with any of them.

Slot - I'd be cautious but interested to see.

De Zerbi - I would like but I personally don't see it happening.

Most of the others can get in the bin

Although, I spoke to a player who played under Conceição and he thinks he'd be a great fit for Spurs as he was his most attack-minded/aggressive coach and had a good relationship with players.

Having said that the times I watched Porto I wasn't exactly enthralled. and Conceição is quite prickly with the press.

On COYS they’re convinced he’s very high up the list.

Does anyone genuinely believe we will have a new manager before the season is done?
No I think we get taken over with Levy and Paratici gone in the next 2 months. I think the new owners come in with a clear vision and ambition for us to win titles. They will hire a director of football who has a clear philosophy that the fans will enjoy. He will pick a manager to fit and in time for when the players return. They will set out and get their preferred signings early and in time for pre season. Kane will sign a new 5 year contract. We will challenge in the league and cups with one of the best squads in the league. Our mascot will be changed to an actual real life unicorn.

There’s a very ugly truth here which is that while we have Harry Kane and Son Heung-min up top, as brilliant as they both are, the simple fact is that we are never going to be an elite pressing side. We may never even be a good pressing side. They are not exactly Messi and Neymar when it comes to laziness in pressing, but Mané and Firmino they are not. And that limits our options significantly.
