Based off of all the reports, I don’t think it’s out of the realms of possibility(in fact I find it quite likely) that Nagelsmann, Rangnick and Spors have all been discussing the Spurs job together and how best they can get the gig whilst simultaneously being set up in the best possible way for success

1. Rangnick publicly recommends that Nagelsmann stays away from Chelsea, and one day later he pulls out of the running.

2. Rangnick publicly recommends the Spurs job to Nagelsmann but also recommends that that the club bring in an experienced DOF that Nagelsmann would like in place.

3. Rangnick also is very complementary about Daniel Levy publicly at a time when Levy was under a lot of public scrutiny.

4. We hear that there have been talks with Spurs and Nagelsmann and learned that he’s interested in the job but would need guarantees.

4. The German media take an about turn and start talking about how they hear that Nagelsmann would love the job. How he views it as a ‘Big Club with Big Potential’.
Words that would rile up an already frantic fan base, applying pressure on Levy to relent on the guarantees required to appoint him.

5. We hear that Johannes Spors is one of the leading candidates for the DOF role.

I personally believe that the way things have unfolded seems like Rangnick has been orchestrating everything in order to try and set up two of his disciples in a leading premier league club together.

And wouldn’t surprise me that shortly after appointing them, we would then announce a partnership with ‘Rangnick Kornetka Consulting’ which is Ralf Rangnick’s consulting company.

Are you implying/saying that the current DoF search is still a mess? News reports about Spor, etc seems to skew positive. Indeed, for all we know, maybe JN would rather work with someone like Spor versus FP.

My unrealistic optimistic side wants to think that the puzzle pieces are coming together. Then I remember that the person who is putting the puzzle together, has absolutely no idea what the end image is supposed to look like, and has a tendency to just force pieces together that don't work.

I will say this... if a new DoF joins within the next month, followed by JN... then, hopefully that implies that the coach will be backed and that there is a grand plan!! Heaven forbid!
