Just noticed this on the Sky Sports ticker...

Feyenoord to offer Slot new deal under Spurs' noses

Feyenoord will offer Arne Slot a bumper new contract to fend off interest from Tottenham this summer after Daniel Levy added the Dutch title-winning boss to his managerial shortlist, claims the Daily Mail.
(I refuse to go to the Hatemail to check it though)

Also to avoid the toxic atmosphere on Saturday after another home loss an announcement will need to be in place before then

We don't want another final day v villa scenario

I'm sure it's just coincidence some positive stuff potentially coming out ahead of our final game of season which could have a spurs level mutinous atmosphere.
I say spurs level mutinous because we aren't the most organised at protests etc

But that's a debate for another thread.....

Inevitable that Feyenoord would want to reward/tie him down after such a season. If we hesitate, I could see him signing.

what do you think about Slot, I know you wanted Gallardo
Yeah, Gallardo and Nagelsmann are just a level above all the other candidates IMO and also both perfect fits for our club. I will never understand why we didn't go for Gallardo tbh. I know most here are really enamoured by Slot. Personally I like him, he is certainly a very attacking manager and what he has done with rather average players is very impressive but i have my concerns also and for me he isn't a clear choice, even from the next group. Id probably put RDZ above him for example. Essentially he wouldn't be my pick and i'm not as elated as others will be especially considering who else is available (Gallardo and Nagelsmann) but ill obviously back him and hope that he proves me wrong for having any doubts. Ether way it will be good to have attacking football back at the lane.

I will say tho that I still think we should have hired a DoF before getting a manager. I really don't like the way we have gone about this backwards (assuming the crossed fingers means a new manager). Maybe if it was JN then it would make some sense as he is the type of candidate you change your plans to get. But as i said above I don't think this latest info will be in reference to him.

Ha ha, the mental gymnastics that goes on in heat is staggering.
Is the Goat in heat? Does that have anything to do with the manager or the DOF or is that a comment about SC when the Goat is in heat? British English is so confusing at times.

if the goat was in heat, I doubt he/her/them/etc would be crossing his/her/them/etc hooves.

Still think JN is the best candidate albeit he is another big name that may not see us as a dream move so would still be happy with Slot

After those 2 there isn't really anyone else except a punt at Ange Postecoglou
