Give me a manager who can calmly and succintly convey the message across as opposed to your "fucking come on!" types.

I'm also sure there's plenty of instances he's given them a bollocking too just not on camera.
I had an 11's manager who's Team Talk was always along the lines of, *I dont give a fuck who they are, fuck em.* It was inspirational the first few times and was great when we won but if we lost its a bit like ermmm gaffer?

Feyenoord's Arne Slot has emerged as the prime candidate for the Tottenham Hotspur job, after initial discussions among the hierarchy.

Daniel Levy has been leading the first stage of interviews in the last few weeks, and the 44-year-old is seen as meeting the most of Spurs' requirements for the profile.

They include a progressive and up-and-coming coach, and one with a record of bringing on a new team with a modern style of play. Some football figures in the Netherlands believe Slot's work with Feyenoord in that regard, as he leads them to a first title in six years, is superior even to Erik ten Hag's at Ajax.

It is for that reason the Dutch club are determined to keep Slot, and willing to offer him a huge pay increase, while seeking to persuade him to give the club a season in the Champions League. Feyenoord have already been successful in fending off Premier League interest, most strongly from Leeds United, but also, more tentatively, from Crystal Palace. It would cost any club at least £4.5m to sign him.

Spurs are also seeking to speak to Sporting Lisbon's Bruno Amorim among a series of similar candidates, having already ruled out any possibility of attracting Julian Nagelsmann. Mauricio Pochettino, who is set to be appointed by Chelsea, has not been seriously pursued for a return. While the possibility did come close in 2021, and both parties like the idea of the Argentine coming back, it was mutually felt it is better to look forward.

Spurs are meanwile closer to a new director of football, having narrowed their pursuit to three main candidates. They are Roma's Tiago Pinto, Tim Steidten, recently of Bayer Leverkusen and one other as yet unknown figure who is said to be best considered.

So not just speaking to Slot and therefore still undecided.
Maybe not as far along as we thought.

My daughter's U18 team's coach has made more inspiring speeches than that Slot one, to absolutely zero reaction. I feel sorry for him sometimes, teenage girls just don't get it.

Back ups I suspect. Nothing wrong with that. We accuse the club of not being prepared all the time, maybe this time they are trying to be.

Seems one of these articles has come out mid afternoon every day this week regarding Slot. Almost like the journalists are preparing the groundwork

Tottenham: Spurs Chief Pushes For "Super" Title-Winning Boss.

This article starts of saying Donna Cullen is pushing for Brendon Rogers to be manager.
Stop. Posting. Shit.

FootballTransfers.com seems like a real reliable source.

"Let's just put Donna Cullen's name to wind up Spurs fans because half of them are dumb enough to get mad about it and send to their mates!"

"if he is to help Slot understand whats gone on" he might not be impartial as he will have his own view on it clear all decks for me
Well I think that's entirely up to what Slot wants. I just wouldn't be surprised if he wants Mason to stick around but if he wants a full clear out of staff then that's what he should get. I do find it strange this idea people have of Mason though, as if he's part of some inner circle who is going to stick up for players who are not good enough. Even if he did its not like Slot isn't going to determine for himself. What assures me about Mason is how he's agreeing with our lost principles.

I also think people are going overboard with this whole clear out idea. There's going to be people who are still around the club and keep that continuity going. Not everyone is a problem and it's not like we haven't got a lot of new faces since Poch left. I don't even think players like Lloris, Dier or Sanchez are an issue either. These are all hard working people who just aren't good enough. They're not disruptive.

A complete clear out just sounds good because we're playing so poorly for so long. That's not really the answer though. Just look at Utd this season, cleared a few who don't fit but kept many of the same players and added some new faces. Changed the philosophy of the club and are playing some great football this season. We just need to clear some old guard and let Slot bring several new faces in to reinvigorate the squad.

Innit.

It's actually pretty sad there are thousands of fans with an irrational rage of some middle aged woman they have never met based on the most spurious information available.

If we approach him sheepishly, he might be persuaded otherwise.
Ever considered stand-up comedy?
If you can mentally cope with the multitude of inane comments on here, the boring repetition, the bed-wetting of some presumably immature/incontinent supporters, the supposed management expertise, the wealth of footballing knowledge from a players perspective and the incredibly intelligent use of spelling and punctuation whilst under the influence of alcohol and narcotics, this site is brilliant in its comedic responses to virtually anything. There are some seriously funny posters on here. The level of wit, is at times breathtaking and restores my faith in Tottenham supporters.
