Don't blame anyone for not being excited by Slot. Difficult to get excited by a manager of a side most people won't have seen play very much, and a name that hasn't been on the radar of anyone before 2 seasons ago.

I am not excited by him, if Erik Ten Hag didn't have a decent season with Manchester United I think we would have avoided him.

When Pochettino and Nagelsmann are available, two tier 1 coaches its difficult to get excited by a random European coach thats only coached one qualifying tie in the CL.

Finally the main reason it's not exciting is because its the acceptance that we are now in a rebuild.

Totally get that but I’m kind of tired of these ‘tier 1’ coaches. I’m more than happy to start a fresh journey with an up and coming coach who wants to grow with us and gives us an identity and that matches his.

I feel like our players are more likely to respond to Ange than Slot.

He seems to be more of a fatherly figure and more of a character that the players could warm to.

Unless we’re planning on a massive overhaul of the squad (which I doubt Levy sanctions) then he might be the better option.

Amorim I like but can’t see us spending the compensation to get him.

Either way, I’d be happy with any of them at this point tbh.

I just want the right coach.

The only other big name coach I can think of who would be a disaster if he came is Ancelotti but even he isn't as toxic as a Mourinho and Conte are

I won't be gaslit by our previous two appointments into thinking were only worthy of an almost rookie.

Tactically I think Nagelsmann is the absolute perfect fit. I'm not sure if he is there in terms of man management though. I really like the sound of Slot and Postecoglu but worry we don't have the squad for their tactics and haven't seen anyone show me any evidence to say they wouldn't play that way. Amorim is exciting too but is he positive enough with the football?

Each coach has potential issues and I'm ready to totally get behind whoever but I'm still hoping the incoming DOF goes back to Nagelsmann and talks to him.

Lots of exciting possibilities though 💙

Yeah I agree, The Aussie seems a natural and similar fall back for Slot

De Zerbi's wild swing in results feel very Tottenham

Lose to Forest, then beat Man U
Get smashed by Everton, the go to the Emirates and absolutely destroy Arsenal
Now getting dominated by Newcastle

If those three are the candidates then it at least hints to some thought being given rather than just getting a big name like Enrique. Almorim would be my last choice as my impression is both Slot and Postecoglou have the character and energy we need to lift the club but based on his age I would personally go with Slot as the more youthful of the two.

It sounds from everything I've heard that the same can be said of Slot - inspiring/motivating and seems to have the kind of vibe about him that we could do with. I wouldn't be upset if we got Ange but I like the sound of Slot.

His AZ team beat them twice

1-0, 2-0

His Feyenoord team lost

2-0 and 3-2 (were leading with 12 to go)

I do think that Ajax team in 21/22 was much stronger though
Thank you, yeh just wanted to know how his inferior teams competed with the talent of Ajax.

I think for me it’s slot out of the names mentioned if not I would go left field and go for Russel Martin as he is one that will be high on brightons list of De Zerbi he is also a spurs fan!

His Swansea team are incredible to watch and he’s an amazing guy

Didn't realise he was a Spurs fan!

Yeah he does seem to have a very bright future.

Alternatively, our full backs could just be coached to fit the system. Crazy that we’ve got in the mindset that our players either fit a system or they don’t.
This is interesting because I've read an article very recently that stated that exact notion.
Players are not coached to fit a system they don't understand. They either get it or they don't and if they don't they are replaced.
Example: Pep and Klopp replacing most of thier squads before seeing an improvement.

I'm not an expert on any of the managers left in play, but as long as they bring sexy football and unity to Spurs as a club, from top to bottom, I'd be delighted.
Postecoglou and slot both look like positive fatherly types that fit this bill, and both are in the ascendency in their careers without having been at a bigger club than spurs.

Don't worry.. beyonce is coming..

I want Slot and will be disappointed if it’s not him but at least Postecoglu plays an attacking style with the 433 shape too.

Don’t want Amorim. His style and system is way too similar to Conte. Would be a disaster imo. Aside from that, even though we have bought wing backs I think we need to move away from that system, our fans are fed up with it and we need a fresh start with a 4231/433 system manager.
