'From one G: Nothing finalized. Getting closer to agreement with top candidate - some issues to resolve with him and with his current club. Still engaged with the next few choices on the list just in case, albeit not at the same stage as with the top choice.

From another G: in terms of how impressive they were during the process, the gap between #1 and #2 options is significant. Will be a big blow to the club if we have to move to the #2 choice.
